From Easy Street's website: "We’re thrilled to welcome Northwest Rock Legends The Sonics to Easy Street for a very special Record Store Day live performance at 10pm! Our heroes will be joined by an amazing array of special guests personally invited by the band throughout the night - and believe us when we say you will NOT be disappointed!! The Sonics performance is a ticketed event with proceeds going to KEXP’s New Home Campaign. A limited number of tickets, priced at $100, are on sale RIGHT NOW at Easy Street. Another small allotment of tickets will be on sale from KEXP.org starting at 3pm today. Check their home page for link at that time.
Limit of two tickets per person, CASH ONLY. "

What are the chances that the "special guests" include members of Pearl Jam? Mike McCready is co-chairing the KEXP New Home Campaign (for which this is a fundraiser).

I think chances are good that any one of or some of PJ could show up. I would guess Mike and/or Stone are the best bet.

Ummm - so Eddie fronted on a song and Mike showed up as well (separate tune backing the lead singer from Tacocat). Legendary night with so many other legendary guests as well,.

Too tired to write more, I am sure others will in the morning. I knew it was going to be a good night when I passed Eddie walking through one of the aisles downstairs.

Tried to post some pics but couldn't (not tech savvy enough)

Saw a video of Eddie performing on Facebook. Lucky people who were there! Looks like a lot of fun. I have to get down to Easy Street for RSD one of these years. They do it right.

I was at Easy Street yesterday and had the opportunity to buy a ticket ($100) and knew there would be some very "special guests" but just couldn't swing the cash even though I knew it was for charity to help KEXP. Looked like a fun night.

Killer night of music! The Sonics were spot on and Ed and Mike filled out the band very nicely. Got to talk with both of them after they did their thing with the band. I told Mike I really enjoyed the Sonic Evolution concert he did a few months ago. He told me they are mixing it and it WILL be out on a CD/record at some point! Looking forward to that. I think there will also be a CD of last nights show coming out at some point also. Easy Street Records in West Seattle rocks.

The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

    So cool!! Thanks for posting.
  • I'm torn on the age old debate of cameras at shows.
While I am at a show, Im thinking 'Put the camera away and enjoy it'
But given the fact Im not at 99% of shows, I love watching them.

And given this video is such great quality, its almost like being there (obviously joking, but really impressed with the quality of that video)
