What a great film! Based on James Welches excellent book of the same title, "Winter in the Blood". Check out the trailer here:

The extras are also definitely very much worth taking time to watch which include some great interviews with several of those involved in making the film including another superb writer (one of my favorites) Sherman Alexie.
If you're looking for a blockbuster with mindless escapism (don't worry, we all have our guilty pleasures), this one won't do it for you. If you're looking for something creative and thought provoking and like an independent film that gives you something to chew on, this is for you!
