The Only Good Thing About MLOA

I'm on a medical leave of absence for work (long story---overheated at a fire and haven't been medically cleared, yet). The only thing keeping me from going insane (I hate missing calls---especially ones down my street) is my guitar. I haven't been playing much until a couple days ago when I was told I couldn't go back into work. I've just been messing with the acoustic to try to get my chops back. After not playing for a while, it's mind boggling that my fingers aren't as strong or as quick as they used to be. In terms of PJ stuff, I've been jamming on some basic stuff (Small Town, Low Light, I Am Mine). Just blows me away at how much I've lost after not playing on a daily basis for a few years. Can anyone relate to this?
