I thought the reissue a few years ago sounded pretty good (even when comparing to my original vinyl pressing). It leaves me with two questions:

    1) What was the source of the pressing?
    2) Is it a good idea to "remaster" it? 90's mastering was much better than 21st century mastering.

Hell yes. I'd love something similar to Mad Season. Expanded disc with 3-4 b-sides, and a SBD live recording.

It would be interesting to see if there are any extra songs.

There's at least 2. I've heard shitty sounding versions of Black Cat and Angel Of Fire.

This never occured to me.. ever! With the album only being 10 songs (Which was kind of short for the 90s) I assumed that's all they recorded. Unreleased ToTD tracks? no way!!

The green TOTD vinyl I have probably has the shittiest sound of all my records.

    I sure wouldn't mind a proper one.

Not to speculate. ..but..I always thought that THIS is why they never released the PJ20 alpine shows...and why they never really talked about it....ok...I speculated....

Why do you think not having the master tapes of the TOTD sessions prevented PJ20 boots from being released? They seem unrelated to me.

never understood why the producer's brother would think it's legitimate that a band's masters would belong to him. if anything, they belonged to the record company.

There may have been a verbal agreement at the time between Parashar and the band, maybe as partial payment for use of the studio if a label wasn't fronting the money?

I wonder if the record was recorded, then shopped around for a record deal - or if there was a record deal in place before recording started?

Probably because it's a bootleg. You should hunt down a copy of the recent, official reissues.
