If they knew their "stuff", they would have known that Combat Rock was not The Clash's third album. Plus Combat Rock can't even touch London Calling...

I'm not that old Jose! :-)

I'm just biased. I've never thought the Clash to be that good. Lot's of hype but then again I didn't live it.

Crass? Amazing? Certainly not musically. They were an interesting group of folks in what they were doing and how they did it, but they were barely musicians. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan(I bought my first copy of Nagasaki Nightmare/Big A little A in '82 or '83) and they have a handful of cathchy diddies but a lot of everything else is pretty rough listening. If you come across a copy of The Story of Crass buy it and read it. They were a thorn in the side to those they opposed and definitely practiced what they preached, so I guess mission accomplished. But man, what a bunch of weirdos.

I will look for that book!

Also I am a huge punk and hardcore fan so Crass appeals to me more. Like I said I'm biased.

I recently bought many Stones albums and find their songs are either great or clunkers. Even one of their best of albums I have has a bunch of (obviously in my opinion) generic rock tunes.

I like reading the comments section on this link as it is entertaining. Pearl Jam gets mentioned several times for not being worthy of being on the list. Little do they know.
