What (other) bootlegs are you listening to right now?

Listening to a playlist of various Stones bootlegs from 72/73. Brussels Affair (first show, not the official one), Fort Worth Express, Backstrap Jacket, Philadelphia Express, Welcome To New York.
Before that I was listening to a playlist I have of Zeppelin stuff. Mainly official stuff: Song Remains The Same, BBC Sessions, etc. But it does have some "Listen To This Eddie". Which is the only Zeppelin bootleg I have, but I've been meaning to check out more."See a broad to get dat booty yak 'em, leg 'er down, a smack 'em yak 'em!"0 -
Nice, since I'm a fan of the Grateful Dead, I quite enjoy extended jams. I'll have to bug my cousin for some of DMB's music to check them out, lol.pjfaninindiana said:
Haha, yeah you are right. Dave Matthews Band. I'm really loving their Live Trax discs. Good packaging featuring pics from the shows. And REAL CD's, not CDRs which is awesome! Overall a great live band, though sometimes the jams do drag on a bit too long on rare occasion. Speaking of Live at the Gorge, there's a DMB has a box set from there as well, which i'll get to soon I hope.DarthMaeglin said:
Nice, not too familiar with them, in fact it took a couple posts before I realized you were listening to the Dave Mathews Band (I hope I am correct on that, lol). I know they're up there in terms of live reputation, so I'll likely give them a try at some point.pjfaninindiana said:Finishing up DMB Red Rocks 4 from 2005
One thing all this bootleg listening I've been doing recently has "inspired" me to do is go through all my music files and give all my boots a listen. I know I've got a few Pumpkins shows, some of which I've not yet listened to, lol. Got a couple Dead shows as well as some Rage Against The Machine too. After Live At The Gorge, of course, lol (listening to the third show right now).
Then I'll start going through my official live albums, lol.
Cypress Hill was a decent quality, high energy show that covered their whole output well. It did remind me how behind I am on Cypress, last album I've got is Stoned Raiders (2004ish?).
Now onto a 3-cd compilation I made of various acts that performed at the several Live 8 concerts from 2 June 2005. Not sure of the sourcing, but it's at least near-soundboard.
Edit: My bad, Live 8 was July 2nd, 2005, not June. Finishing off that set listening to the Pink Floyd reunion set.Post edited by DarthMaeglin on"The world is full of idiots and I am but one of them."

Cool, BBC Sessions is one of my favourite live compilations, period. Like some of the shows I listened to earlier, it's neat listening to the crowd be introduced to songs from the fourth album. You can hear a pin drop during Stairway, lol.SatansFuton said:Listening to a playlist of various Stones bootlegs from 72/73. One of the high points of Badgeholders is that Keith Moon sits in on Moby Dick as well as Rock & Roll."The world is full of idiots and I am but one of them."

Yeah, BBC Sessions has been a favorite of mine since high school. I believe I read somewhere not not ago that it used to be an unofficial bootleg at one time. I only found out about it when the official version was released when I was in high school. I listened to them so much I've probably gone through 3 copies over the years. Before I got an iPod.DarthMaeglin said:

Listened to a few Smashing Pumpkins shows the last couple days while out and about. In order: 1988-10-15 (Live at the Cabaret Metro), 1989-09-10 (Chicago, notable because of the drum machine), Shine (1990-06-16, Madison WI), Party All Night (1991-02-12, New York, NY), 1992-01-19 (Paard, Den Haag), 1993-08-14 (Chicago), Lollapalooza 1994 (1994-09-04). Apparently I'd never listened to these shows after I downloaded them, because the songs on the first two shows were all new to me, lol.
Currently listening to 2000-11-29, Chicago, the "second to last show" the first time they broke up, lol."The world is full of idiots and I am but one of them."
10-30-1991 Toronto, Toronto 1 & 2 2016, Toronto 20220 -
Now on to Zwan, Paris, France, 2003-02-08. An acoustic set by an underrated band, in my opinion, lol."The world is full of idiots and I am but one of them."
10-30-1991 Toronto, Toronto 1 & 2 2016, Toronto 20220 -
Next up, Billy Corgan, 2004-04-19, as I watch some playoff hockey, lol. After that it'll be back to the Pumpkins, at the Fillmore West, 2007-07-25."The world is full of idiots and I am but one of them."

Yet another day of hockey playoffs and Pumpkins shows, lol. Got through Chicago 1995-02-28, now on to San Francisco 1996-02-06."The world is full of idiots and I am but one of them."

Still on the Pumpkins, listened to Vancouver 1997-01-08 watching the Habs-Sens game (I think this one's the best of my Pumpkins, both in terms of sound and performance), now it's on to Detroit 1999-04-10 while watching the Canucks-Flames (this one's pretty glitchy, since my apparent intent at the time was to have an SP show from each year (at least 1988-2000, lol), this one might get replaced, lol)."The world is full of idiots and I am but one of them."

Zwan - Columbia, MO 2002
Really good show. Billy was in a great mood and the crowd was really into it. Almost as if they already knew the songs. Features a great cover of The Kinks' "All Day and All of the Night"0 -
Sweet, listening to all these shows has highlighted to me how (in my head, lol) Pearl Jam are more Led Zeppelin and the Pumpkins (or maybe just Billy Corgan, lol?) are Pink Floyd (especially Syd Barrett-era Floyd) in terms of their respective sound. Appels + Oranjes, lol.pjfaninindiana said:Zwan - Columbia, MO 2002

Had no internet for three days, so I missed posting about the shows I listened to watching the hockey, lol. Replaced the Pumpkins Detroit show with Pittsburgh 1999-04-17, followed by Detroit 2007-10-17.
Then moved on to a Grateful Dead "reunion" show (billed as The Dead), Deadheads For Obama, the Warfield, 2-4-08. An excellent show, though like the bonus tracks with the Led Zeppelin reissues, it's often about what's missing, namely Jerry Garcia. Followed that with a Dead show from Hamilton, Canada, 1990-03-21.
After that it was something that can only be called a bootleg for a bit longer, the Smashing Pumpkins' Machina II: friends and enemies of modern music (album and EPs).
The Pumpkins shows I had led me to grab a few more PJ shows so that I have them represented by a show from every year, so that'll be the next couple days, then I'll be back here to finish off my "bootleg odyssey" (it'll be 110 shows listened to since early February) with my 2 "ticket shows" (ones that the album artwork is my ticket stub, lol)."The world is full of idiots and I am but one of them."
10-30-1991 Toronto, Toronto 1 & 2 2016, Toronto 20220 -
First ticket show was Toronto, 1991-10-30, Pearl Jam opening for the Smashing Pumpkins who opened for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, what a night it was, my introduction to the mosh pit, lol.
Now listening to Hamilton, 1992-03-21, the Grateful Dead, the night that introduced me to the sweet smoke, lol."The world is full of idiots and I am but one of them."

Hmm, interesting observation between PJ and SP. Or, well, may as well call it Billy because who really knows what James and Darcy did lol. I totally love the song Appels + Oranjes by the way, as well as the Adore album.DarthMaeglin said:

I liked a lot of the Machina II, Let Me Give The World To You is great! As is Innosense. I really liked the James song Go as well. Probably my favorite song of his. However, I absolutely loved the original Machina album, and still do. I wish it was appreciated more!0 -
REM - Milton Keynes 1995
Very solid performance all around. A lot of times Michael Stipe kept saying, "Here's another song" or kept describing something as " pretty cool", which I found amusing. Show features Undertow and Departure, which would go on to be on their next album New Adventures in Hi Fi in 1996, as well as a song called Revolution which later appears on the Batman & Robin soundtrack in 1997.0 -
Finally managed to get to the DMB Live at the Gorge box set last week. 3 shows from 2002. I was on a roll lol.0

Nice, I've still got that concert I dvr'd to watch. Stupid hockey playoffs, eating up so much of my viewing hours for the next month, lol. I know what ya mean haha. Been keeping up with the basketball playoffs so that definitely is time consuming. I spun another DMB show today. Salem, OR 5-5-1995 to celebrate it's 20th anniversary.DarthMaeglin said:
