Why doesn't Pearl Jam come to Scandinavia?

Hi

I am a Pearl Jam fan for about 6 years now, only I've never had the chance to visit a concert. I became a huge PJ fan when they performed at the PinkPop festival in Landgraf, in 2000 (unfortunatly I wasn't there, I was too young to go there....but I saw it on tv). Since then, I hardly listen to anything else than PJ. But I never had the chance to go to a oncert because PJ hasn't been in Europe for 6 years now...(because of Roskilde??)

So I am dying to go to a PJ-concert!! Now they are about to perform here in Holland at 29 august.....only I will have to leave to Norway for my study at 5th of aurgust till 17th of December...aaarh!!! All my friends, my brother....they all go to the concert!

So, I was hoping that PJ is going to perform at Oslo or Bergen...but that does't seem to be so. Why?? Why won't PJ come to Norway/Scandinavia? Is there any chance I can still go to a conncert??

Greetings from The Netherlands.

Maybe because it's too cold up there?

    yea why?!?

I think I read somewhere though, that they simply couldn't tour every corner of the world in one stint, and so this time they chose to axe all of Scandinavia.

Oh well, Im going to the shows in Paris & Bern anyway so:)

I think it's because Scandanavia voted for Bush in the last election.

Oh, sorry. That's why PJ won't tour TEXAS ... :)

was wondering this myself,i doubt its because of the bush connection otherwise the UK shows wouldnt be there, and anyways the policies of a few madmen shouldnt reflect on the people should it?.
the european tour is a bit weird.is it based on record sales?, or perhaps the guys just wanted to visit these cities.

    its £5 for a pint...

    i rest my case
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Oh, that's just not fair. There are plenty of places in Oslo where you can buy cheap beer (cheaper than £5 ,anyway) ,it's just a question of knowing where they are located!

And playing in Denmark doesn't make things better! How about Norway? Why are we discriminated?

    06/30/93 - Jäähalli : Helsinki, Finland [41m]
    attendance: 8,000
    supporting: Neil Young

set: Animal, Even Flow, Why Go, Jeremy, Glorified G, Daughter, Black, Alive, Porch/(Across the Universe)/(Fuckin' Up)

notes: Opening with a good version of 'Animal,' a typical 'Even Flow' with a short, ripping solo by Mike follows. Ed is having problems with his voice and is using accentuated talking in place of singing at times. 'Why Go' begins with an unusually long introduction. 'Glorified G' is warmly received by the crowd. Afterward, Ed finally speaks to the audience, announcing 'Daughter,' which is performed with a particularly delicate, gentle tone and no tags. 'Black' is now performed with an absence of emotion that was present only six months prior, and segues neatly into a canned version of 'Alive.' Before 'Porch,' Ed says, "I promise not to come back until I have a voice," yet 'Porch' is delivered adequately, and tags are borrowed: the lyrics "Nothing is going to change my world" (The Beatles' 'Across the Universe') and "Why do I keep fuckin' up" (Neil Young's 'Fuckin' Up') are chanted.

Hmm...doesn´t seem like the best show they ever played. "Black" with absence of emotion? Is that posssible?
However, I definately hope they will return to you guys, Finland, Sweden + Norway... it´s not far away for me neither (:
