Amen, Speedy! Got rid of cable 2 years ago. I subscribe to Netflix, NHL GameCenter (Let's go Hawks), and MLB.tv (Go Cubs go) and that's good enough for me.

I don't miss having to eat proper dinners. I know it's awful but I'm so much happier now that, as an adult, I can choose to have toast and cereal for dinner :)

Hulu and Netflix is the route we went. I wish this was an option 20 years ago. I freaking LOVE IT!
I love the fact that I get to pick and choose what I WANT TO WATCH, instead of flipping through channels and letting the stations dictate what I watch. If that makes any sense. The only downfall is sporting events, and actually its no big deal.

Anybody who still pays $100-$120 for cable TV, is freaking NUTS!

It's well more than that for the cable/internet/phone package.

    Yes it is.
I don't mind paying for my internet. I do not mind the $50 a month I pay for that.
But cable TV can forever kiss my ass.

I've been considering getting rid of my box and just using the web service/apps for my shows. I never know when my shows are on anyway so I usually end up watching on demand the next day or so. It's such a big change though, not really sure I could handle it.

Then call me nuts. Could never do it because of sports. Besides football, a majority of playoff games are even on cable these days...
