ISO Game of Thrones Beer Bottle, Iron Throne. Odd request.

Anybody have this? It's the first Game of Thrones bottle called Iron Throne.

I am missing it from my collection.

Anybody?

I've got Wrigley packs :-)

I unloaded one of these a month or so ago. I was shocked at how much I was offered for it. Good luck.

I have the "Take the Black" stout bottle though.

It looks as though a store nearby carries it. I can check for you tomorrow.

    Just an FYI:

The Iron Ale was a limited, one off brew produced by Ommegang a few years ago. You won't find it in liquor stores.
  • There is a tiny chance I might have this. How much is it going for?

Oh man... I just recycled one of these a month ago. I had absolutely no idea they were highly sought after. Was saving some bottles in the garage and weeded some out including this one. Man makes me sick that I could have traded it for some Wrigley cards!

I struck out. Sorry. When I contacted Ommegang Brewery, they said this beer was released April 2014, so the chances of finding it in a store is nil. Hopefully someone will part with one from their collection. You probably already know this, but the next in the Game of Thrones series is Three-Eyed Raven, which will be released April 6.

I have an extra Valar Morghulis Dubble Ale bottle with the cork and the like if any one is after one of these.

Otherwise I would suggest trying Total Wine or World Market if there is one near you. They usually get a lot of these special one offers in single bottles and they get pushed to the back of the shelf sometimes and hang around for a while.

World Market is a good call. I used to manage one of their stores & we always had random beers in stock or in the warehouse. get the SKU for it & call a store.

^Nice one! I noticed on the new three-eyed raven ale a lot of the top labels are not perfectly aligned with the front label. Being that I am a bit OCD I had to go through all the bottles to find one that was aligned properly

True that. I drank the crooked one I bought. :-)

What did you think of it? The three-eyed raven is my least favourite so far.

the Valar Mohgulis was really good. The 3 eyed was good too. I really liked the Valar M better though.

If you really like beer try and find the Founders KBS and put it away for 2 years.

For drinking now I LOVE, that's LOVE!!!! Ballast point Sculpin and Ballast point Grapefruit Sculpin. Two of the best beers out there IMHO.

Yes I agree I enjoyed the Valar Mohgulis more, just out of the line so far I found the three-eyed raven to be at the bottom of the list for me.

I will look for those beers you suggested, I do consider myself a beer enthuist and I am always willing to try something new.

Have you tried the Iron Maiden Trooper beer? It's a nice hoppy golden ale with a citrusy undertone. You might enjoy it.

So does this mean you are no longer looking for Iron Throne?

To the OP...hang tight. They will be re-releasing the Iron Throne later this year. The 3 Eyed Raven is out now and that is the final installment in the Ommegang/Game of Thrones Contract. Because not a lot of people tried the first "batch" - Iron Throne, they are re-releasing it later.

There have been no talks to do anything further than 3 Eyed Raven. Not yet at least.
