Compliments.

Tonight my husband emphasized that I was still sexier than his snow machine.

Anyone else have an eyebrow raising compliment to share?

I love it. Sounds like our husbands would get along quite well.

The other morning, some guy in our building told me I smelled "perfect". Cock o'the brow indeed, but still, it was nice.

My favorite is trying to convince people that I'm as old as I am....I don't care how old I am but I love that my inner child is still shining through :)

It was a combo of Jill Sander fragrance, vanilla/banana body cream, bit of lingering cigarillo smoke, and a dash of minty breath spray.

And cheers, northerndragon! I haven't had to do that kind of convincing for awhile now - hrrmph - but I hear you on the inner child thing.

Mine's a fucking juvenile at times...and she better stick around for awhile.

So I dress conservatively but try to be a little stylish (no skinny jeans or short skirts) and often have at least a pj pin on my jacket. I also wear a scarf in a modern, not your stereotypical muslim lady way. Usually, this keeps the compliments from men at bay. However, one day, while putting milk in my coffee at Starbucks, this guy says to me, "you have such a different, funky feel about you. It's intriguing and beautiful." I about fell over and was a little creeped out and very embarrassed. Even remembering it was weird. I'll admit that it was kind of nice though.

Just this past week at work, I had someone tell me that I had very "Catholic" handwriting. Now, I think that she meant it as a compliment even though I wasn't aware that handwriting can look religious-- at least not with common day handwriting. For the record, my boss tells me that my handwriting is "flowery." I tend to expressively drag length, height or width into some letters. It never struck me as Catholic, though. Probably because I'm not Catholic anyhow.

Might've meant Catholic school. I think stereotypically they push the kids to have perfect handwriting.
