Gathering of the Vibes Festival

Has anyone ever been to this before?
It's the first time I've heard of it but there's a few bands I would like to see and according to Google maps its only like an hour and a half drive from my house. I was looking at the website but it seems like there's only tickets available for camping. I don't do camping. Does anyone have any experience with this festival and the single day tickets?

I went last year. I saw Dispatch on Sunday. They do sell single day tickets. It was CT day so I paid a discounted price (I think it was half price but don't hold me to that) plus kids were free so I took my 9 year old. I live in CT (northern part) and have always heard Bridgeport was crime riddled and not safe so I always avoided shows in southern CT. I am a big Chad Stokes fan and wanted to see Dispatch so I "risked" going figuring that a Sunday afternoon would be the safest time to go. I am glad I did as the area is beautiful. The grounds are right on the LI sound and I felt like I was at the Cape. People were driving their boats up to the shore and listening to the music. I had brought my kids to the Life is Good festival (geared towards kids) in Canton, MA in the past and my 9 year old enjoyed the festival as much as I did as they had rides and face painting plus the "hippie" vibe was fun for her as she likes the shirts and hula hoops. The main stage area is wide open and wasn't too crowded and I was able to get pretty close for Dispatch who was the headliner that day. The other smaller stages were even easier to get close. Even the sound coming from the main stage when walking around was pretty clear. The only negative was the parking as they steer you to a parking garage and shuttle people over. I left early so I didn't get stuck in garage. I also heard the over night camping gets a little dicey with the wasted party goers but that can happen anywhere. The camping area is located in the center of the grounds and is surrounded entirely by the festival as it's set up like a big circle. I'm taking both my kids this year for Ben Harper and am getting a hotel on the water as I've heard that area is also very nice. Sorry so long but I loved this festival. Go to inforoo.com and click on the festival link and you will get more fan feedback on this festival and any others your interested in. That's what gauged my decision to go and I'm glad I did.

What are you looking to know about it. Used to be very sketchy with n2o mafia everywhere but it's cleaned up a lot in the past few years. And yes, it's a festival dl there will always be some element of sketch to it but just stay away and you'll be fine

I guess the main question I have is the price of the single day tickets vs the weekend ticket, historically speaking. And if there's a weekend ticket that doesn't include camping.

Only camping with weekend ticket. If you look around you might be able to pick up somebody's early bird ticket for the cheaper price. For a dead/jamband festival, this lineup is t exactly doing it for a lot of people

Nitrous mafia. They are at TONS of jamband shows/fests and really bring a dark/bad vibe with them. Basically they go and just set up shop wherever they want and sell balloons (which the customers just drop and litter afterwards) They pay off the cops so they don't get in trouble and bring violence to anyone that tries to stop them. It's a really shitty thing that happens and gives the lot scene a bad name. Their must be YouTube videos if you try looking for them
