That is seriously fucked up. Do you realize how offensive that statement is? Do you even care? Or were you just making some mindless flip comment?

What a fucking stupid fireman. I mean, the sentiment is sickening obviously, but I'm also struck by how idiotic he must be to actually tweet that and not consider the consequences.
For a large portion of US population they have bought into every Muslim is a terrorist and wants to kill Christians. They talk amongst each other and just think this is an okay viewpoint. this guy never thought to suppress his thoughts. When story ran in Houston local news, majority of commenters said same or worse.

Humans have this instinctual need to be part of a tribe. Once in that tribe they will take side of tribe no matter the logic or if it's right. Funny yet sad when I see a dog become member of human pack they will go after the other humans even if it's current owners starve and beat it. Same thing.

In the effort of the government to get support for war "the Evildoers" simply need to be shown as the other tribe. Show them some bad stuff and a large enough group will get into their tribes and hate and want to kill the other person.

So the fireman became this dog and couldn't help himself. And we have a growing problem in US.

BUT strife is good for leaders and business.

He's a fireman in Texas, I would be surprised if any consequences arise. Firemen are in the same brotherhood of protection as police.

The Denmark shooting was targeting another cartoonist who lampooned the Profit.I would say that is pretty clear cut about motive.I still think you may be looking for an angle in NC BB that isn't there.Still horrific and sad no matter but to the motive of the shooter,My guess is it wasn't racially motivated.

Disagree, father of the daughters said the shooter had no prob with his son in law for over a year of living there. That all changed once his daughter got married to him and moved in. Saw the father talking on the news networks. And why not just shoot out the tires of the car if it was over a parking spot? Instead, execution style, 3 shots to 3 heads? Sorry, I'm not buying it.
I'll factor that in when watching this thing unfold Nart.

I can see why this event and the church fire and the with the general Bias going around of late,People of the Muslim faith (espescially the ones who show it outwardly) are feeling like targets and victims not just to the uneducated masses who are haters ,but to the fundamentalists hijacking your otherwise peaceful religion.

Would you say it is anywhere as bad as post 9/11 hysteria? As a guy who"doesn't look Muslim"(Ya know white and tattooed) Are you overhearing hate talk in day to day interactions?

I started this thread with a link to the shootings in Copenhagen. Badbrains very first reaction was to pounce on me declaring that I said nothing about his North Carolina thread and that I should tell him my religion as if the two issues are linked.

Well...I did comment on the North Carolina thread. I called those murders a hate crime. Bad Brains was wrong. He jumped the gun and implied a religious connection to a perceived injustice in his head.

Why did he do that? Why was the status of my religion the first thing that came to his mind when I made this post? There was a silent insinuation in his initial line of questioning that just doesn't sit right with me at all. It shouldn't sit well with any of you whether you are religious or secular. The "yellow star" imaging might seem a little troubling but we now have a self-described "Troll Hunter" marching around these boards casting aspersions and bullying those he disagrees with to state their faith. I think his line of questioning with respect to religion is completely out of line and I will not sit silently while he harrasess other members. This has got to stop. As anyone out there who was forced to wear the yellow star will tell you it is that "silence" of those around them that they found to be the most offensive. I will not be silent on this.

Other members? Harass? Oh god, do you hear yourself? Only people I'm calling out are YOU and your fake cop buddy dan. Funny how you forget to mention that I APOLOGIZED to you on the forum about saying you didn't condemn the NC shooter.(selective amnesia) And now you're out here appealing to your fellow members to join your "side".

So my questioning doesn't sit right with you? So you basically come out and label me an anti-Semite? How do I know you're Jewish if you won't even answer? Now it's beyond religion or faith when it comes to you. You're a fucken hate monger to the fullest. You're damn right I'm a troll hunter. But you don't have to worry about me hunting you. You're not a troll, you're someone who's full of fucken hate towArds a people that you would sink to any level to show that hate. Again, your statement about yellow stars attributed to me is insensitive, offensive and you're fucken lucky I don't flag your ass. I don't rat or tell on people. As much as I would love nothing more then to flag your post, I won't. I'll let everyone on the boards see you for what and who you are. A fucken fear monger, not troll. So since you won't tell me what religion you are, and now I really don't give to fucks. I'm gonna say "fear is your only god."

Thanks for all of you who spoke up for me and who were kind enough to send me pms of support regarding this fear mongers hate talk. You guys have no idea how pissed I was last night. Seeing these messages of support this morning was awesome. Thanks guys.

Yes, you did point out that BB was incorrect, and he apologized.

As for the "yellow star" comment: for me, it is more than "a little troubling." And to try to compare a simple question to that atrocity is offensive and disgusting. Why was BB asking the question? I won't try to speak for him, but maybe he was asking to understand where you are coming from with regards to some of your posts (this is just a guess on my part). Isn't that what we should strive to do: understand?

This thread is a train wreck.

In the context of how it was asked, BB was being confrontational.

I'm not defending BS- he could have deflected the unnecessary question more gracefully.

I cannot recall another time on this forum where things have become so personal for so many.

I wasn't trying to be confrontational with me asking. I wanted to know. I asked him last summer the same question and he/she danced around it. I just don't understand why me asking someone about their religion turns into me wanting to have certain members wear yellow stars. Why would I apologize to him/her in a thread if all I wanted to do was be confrontational with BS? But it's all good. I'm ok with him/her not answering, but don't come on here and insult me or a religion with a fucked up statement or post labeling someone an anti-Semite. Because that's what BS is doing.

This very well may be true, but trust me when I say it read like conflict.

It's troubling to see the open tensions between many members on this forum. It's become a bit of a place for drama and less a place for heightened discussion.

Maybe it has always been like this and I've only observed it recently? Maybe I am contributing to the personal tensions in some capacity? Maybe I should just shut up?

Regardless, the sun is shining brightly today and I have to get outside. Have a good one.

I think a couple people need to cool down. Check your emotions - scream them out loud or whatever before you post. And then watch what you're saying. I'm not very sensitive to this shit, and even i am a bit distressed to see the kinds of accusations being unjustifiably flung back and forth over the fence here. I feel like there has been a real overreaction.

Its -2 out here in my parts...time for a hike with the doggies! Fajitas tonight! Owwww yeah!

Badbrains, FWIW, I enjoy your posts and you have always called it like you feel it, I respect that! I will say though, that it seems since the slaughter in Palestine this summer and the banning of one of our best contributors, ypu have taken a harder, less "diplomatic" tone. I know that every few years the bullshit of humanity (and our motherbitch of a nation in particular) stack up and throw me into a pervasive pessimism. It helps me to remember that no matter how cold the winter, there's a springtime ahead!

BB I know we were both at the Cincy show, and maybe a few Euro shows this summer? You hit Amsterdam didn't you? Did you hit Milan, Trieste, or Vienna? When they go on tour again we train contributors need to make a concerted effort to get together, break bread, and share a buzz!!

On other threads he has accused me of being inserted on to this message board as some sort of agent of a foreign government and/or lobbying group even though I have been a paid fan club member since 1999. He has countless times accused me of spreading hate without ever detailing a single instance and now I am fear monger. As other people have written this has got to stop. Enough.

Sucks when good threads gets closed. Also sucks when active members get banned especially when they have unique perspective and really like perspectives that counter mine 180 degrees. Why I don't lay into Some cause I need their views and know they are likely good people.

I so miss couple posters, who happen to have been on opposite sides of the spectrum.

You basically called me an anti-Semite and now you want to stop? Should've flagged you but I'm all for free speech. Your comment backfired on you. You thought people would "join" your side on this matter, And come out calling me anti-Semitic? Well, how'd that work out for you? And funny, I fuck up and I apologize to you in CAPITAL CAPS, yet you call me an anti-Semite, which I'm NOT, and refuse to even retract. No problem, u can have any views or opinions you want about me. But don't expect me to stay "silent" as you like to say. You think the others saying to stop is directed just at me? You don't think they're talking to you as well? Ya, I'll stop, when you stop with your BS.
