Read this story yesterday and thought is was downright silly, though it was pointed out to me that, if anything, this might have fallen under some sort of bullying (more appropriate than the "terroristic threat").
That said, I do have to question the parents for allowing their 9 year-old to watch the gorefests that the LOTR and Hobbit movies are (I'm assuming he'd seen the first trilogy, though the article only mentions the most recent film).

Edit for bad spelling and punctuation, lol.

Hopefully the school was not in possession of a Palantíri when they discovered a student was an actual ring-bearer in possession of The Ring Power.

They are not all accounted for, the lost seeing stones. We do not know who else may be watching. The hour is later than you think. Sauron's forces are already moving. The Nine have left Minas Morgul.

    ......................

So yeah, let's file this under really, really, really, really, super fucking dumb.

May the school's admin and teachers be banished forthwith from the Kingdom of Rohan... under pain of death.

It's like the pop-tart-as-a-gun thing. Just over the top and lacking common sense.

(and inappropriate / over-use of the term "terrorist" is ridiculous)

Seems like some adults have forgotten that 9 year olds are still supposed to be into magical thinking.

    No tradebacks, but...

    ...I'm open.

Couple of your recent posts have inspired me to listen to much-loved songs. Thanks :)
