Super Bowl Party

Where are you going?
What's on the menu?

I will be watching the game at home, with Kathy.
Probably grill a couple steaks.
I'm sure we will also make some guacamole.

At home - going to do some little smokies with Show Me Sauce, turkey dogs in a blanket, slow cooked beef roast (southern style), lots of chips and dips, maybe some FlatBranch microbrew. I missed last years SB. 103 fever, stomach flu and from what I've been told, a bit delirious. Looking forward to this one!

Annual SB party at my buddy jays house. He gets it catered from some place down the jersey shore called Surf Tacos. And of course he'll have his normal extras like burgers/dogs beers/LOTS of nugs. Should be a blast, won a $200 box last year!

I have shunned all social gatherings in favor of actually watching it on my TV.

We have a party every year. Mostly the same menu. Pulled pork, bbq chicken, country ham sandwiches, sausage balls (hunh, a lot of pork), fabulous 7 layer dip, deviled eggs, a cheeseball shaped like a football, a chocolate cake shaped like a football stadium. Plus a boatload of beer. And a chocolate fountain. If you're in LA, come on by!

Plan to be hung over. Just won tickets from my work (we are a one of the main sponsors of the NFL) for NFL Honors Saturday night. I will probably end up at my parents to just watch with my Dad. I'm worried he doesn't have many of these games left and want to get in as many as possible. I'm sure my Mom will whip up some stuff even though we will tell her not to.

  • I guess I am now making some chicken wings too.
Also have some homemade Cream Of Broccoli soup.

And the New York Strip Steaks I purchased, look DELICIOUS!

Tonight I'm going out to party with a friend whose wife is about to have their second baby, so he wants to get it all out of his system before he can't do anything for years, lol. I expect to be hungover at home for the game tomorrow. :P

Already looking at 6 on the ground.

Wow. Meanwhile what was supposed to be another shitstorm yesterday here.. Was more of a spittle of snow. The sun came up this morning... It's gone already. Hope things fare well over there in Chi-town for ya'll. I came down with a head cold.. So I'll be watching the Super Bowl from the seclusion of my bedroom.. With my kitteh.

Just me and the kids. It's a busy day in my husband's line of work so he's always working and the kids and I have our little Super Bowl tradition. Pizza. Wings. Chips. Salsa. Guacamole. Popcorn. One of the few days of the year that I just eat as much junk food as I want. I probably feel like crap tomorrow. I'm boycotting the half time show

I'm interested because the band is, and my 9 year old has an interest in maybe playing the game. So, I'll whip up some wings, chips and veggie stix. Sit on the sofa with my Fender and pluck away durring the game. Seahawks win by one once of air!
I remember when, yeah. I swore I knew everything, oh yeah.
