There were a couple (in my opinion) nasty, personal attacks thrown out there (I'm guessing it wasn't you and Ted, if I remember correctly you two had a bit of back and forth going, but I thought it got sorted out).
Might be wrong, but that's my best guess. If I'm right, it seemed like it was some spill over from another thread.

Our behavior is being reviewed. It is a warning, and we need that from time to time. Thread closes and we think about what we have said and if it is within the rules and spirit of the forum. The topic wasn't being discussed much, if someone wants to start a new thead on the topic they won't stop it.

I thought my back and forth with Ted was good stuff. Don't think he or I have any issues at all. I don't even see how the stuff that was apparently "personal" between other people got even close to being out of hand.

The one that stuck out to me was a comment involving a ********* (rather not repeat it, it's there for all to see, or was, lol).
Agreed about you and Ted, btw, I'm one of the "freedom sheep" too, thanks for sticking up for us all, lol.

Edited to remove reference to what I found offensive, my bad for not doing so before I had to walk away for awhile. Now it's off to bed.

there were some low blows. i wanted to respond to a few of them but in the end I chose to stay out of it. probably a good thing it was closed, because when things get personal the entire thing snowballs into something really ugly.

we normally police ourselves pretty well. once the other one is reviewed, this one will likely be closed too, because we don't need to rehash what has already been discussed.

like rgambs said, think about what you said and how it may have been interpreted. in my experience, if you think you might have said something wrong, then you probably did

Yeah I regret not holding my tongue. I end up having that regret somewhat often, but in my time here on the boards I have been steadily improving. Piling on or butting in is never helpful. I think the mods do a great job of letting us go at it, focusing on the aggregate "spirit" of the debates and not just reacting to individual comments. Many, if not all, of us step out of line from time to time and are given the benefit of doubt rather than being summarily banned.

Also, threads closed for review are sometimes re-opened with a warning and certain posts removed.
