What the hell is going in with the secret service? Isn't that supposed to not ever happen?

I was wondering about these drones, how it's so easy to fly that sucker up to the bedroom window of the hot girl next door (as an example, could be anyone).

The SS strikes me lately as Keystone Cop-like. Bumbling and cartoonish - "which way did he go?"

That said, one could fly one of those remote helicopter things onto the grounds as easily as those devices.

I think privacy is def the biggest concern. You know some douche is doing exactly what you said.I think we see more and more stories in the coming months and years about violations of ones personal space and privacy.

something to consider about the Secret Service, their mission drastically changed after 9/11 as well as switching departments (major morale killer). They have never really recovered from the changes. An objective assessment of where they are as a service and what can be doen to "update" should be in the works and subsequent changes welcomed. For starters , swithc the majority back to the Treasury with an arm under DHS.

  • i wish it would have fallen onto congress.

maybe it would have kept them from moving forward with the GOP plan to repeal and replace obama's law of gravity...

    Take 'em all out!

I'd have my sweet ass removed and handed to me if I'd say the same about any other group of people.

rr, back to the accessibility / privacy aspect, it seems like the doors have been flung wide open on this. Not sure how far it'll go.

It's almost funny- for decades we worry about how these little countries like North Korea, North Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. are endangering our freedom.

Yeah right. No, I don't want to buy that bridge, thank you very much.

Drunk off duty guy in defense intelligence is the culprit.

I think defenses at the White House took the drone down and they just don't want to let us on to that.

They used new weapon technology that they don't want the public to know exists ... but I know ...

Under the sea, smoke rises in bubbles, and flames burn green and blue and black. I know, I know, oh, oh, oh.
  • I can see it now. Miniature surface to air missiles mounted on the roof. Taking out stray kites and birthday balloons. Ha

Gern your probably right. Not hard to cause interference with drones/rc. Just hope govt doesn't come down hard on RC. Been great hobby for many for generations.
