As a life long Phillies fan I feel part of the Cubs...lovable losers, buts it not about that. Ernie is a baseball lovers dream.

The adversity this icon overcame had to have been tremendous. And he flourished to become what every little boy dreamed of, the true meaning of a hero.

    Rest in peace Mr. Banks.
    Nice shirt.

This is a sad day for not only Cubs fans but baseball fans everywhere.

Ernie Banks was one of the great ones - both on and off the field.
