2014 was a weak Pearl Jam poster year

Once again expressobeans members have voted the Poster of the Year 2014. It`s the first time that no Pearl Jam poster is under the first ten places. Personally I would be happy to get another PJ poster from Chuck Sperry, EMEK or maybe the first PJ poster from Aaron Horkey, Miles Tsang or Dig my Chili.

I thought Moline was good and the MK Klausen was mighty fine. But yeah, the band was bringing it every night. :)

The Amsterdam SIT poster was the best one of the year for me!!!
I also bought the Milton Keynes / Klausen poster.
Moline was just okay for me & I liked the Lincoln, Memphis & Milwaukee posters better than Moline.
Just not crazy about the design of this one, but it's DEFINITELY better than many of the others from this year's US tour!! :-bd

I'll third that notion! Was really hoping he'd get the St. Paul print last year, seeing as he's a MN native. But I'll reiterate:

Here's how I'd rate the US tour posters from worst to best...
The St. Louis Popeye & both Detroit posters are my least favorite.
I'd put Cincinnati, Denver, St. Paul & the 2 ACL posters next...these do nothing for me and would only buy them if I attended that show!
Then I'll say Tulsa, Moline & Memphis are pretty decent posters to my eye.
Milwaukee & Lincoln are my favorite ones from this year's US tour & I'd give Lincoln a slight edge over Milwaukee at this point.
That may change when I get them framed!!

Someone on the forum described it as, "Mr. Pringle Hugging His Family." It does look like that. I have Mr. Pringle and love him much. You know, I could make that into a leaded glass window, but it would be a GIANT pain in the ass. I'll just take that as a print on my wall and be good with it.

I am also a huge fan of Johnny Crap's EV Brazil poster. Not only is it a gorgeous print (especially framed), but the show was also on my bday. Actually thought quite a few of EV's posters were pretty good.
  • Todd Slater's nautilus shell for Eddie Vedders Brisbane show was my favourite.

Hm, I thought the Euro posters were a pretty good crop.
  • i prefer the euro 2014 posters over the US as well. sadly though, i feel that it's been some time since PJ/EV tour posters were a "powerhouse" (?) in the collecting community. both peaked a while ago. i liked the lincoln the best from the 2014 US.

I'd love to see more Sperry, especially if he could expand away from "girl with flowing hair"...as aside from repetitiveness, his work is awesome! The colours are so vibrant and pop so much. His Jaguar PJ Sao Paulo from a few years back was the first poster I bought from a show I didn't attend. I love that poster, the colours are awesome, and the stars remind me of those glow in the dark space star you would put on your ceiling as a kid.
