I had 2nd to last row seats......OF THE ENTIRE VENUE.......

    it was phenominal.

Blackbird?!?!? Are you kidding me!??! Brain Damage?!!? Girl From the North Country was gorgeous....ARC?!?!? I could have totally done without the Cubs song....(considering Im a Cardinals fan!! :D) Totally kidding..... what a grand evening...even saw the Stanley Cup, and I could care less about hockey. Good stories, not too many a-holes yelling...and even saw Ed before the show in the alley.

I loved the set list... a lot of songs I have never Ed do live before. I wonder if he cut Brain Damage short because of all of the a-holes yelling out crap. I did enjoy him telling Shelly from Detroit to "Shut the fuck up!!!!" Which by the way if she or anyone who knows her come by this message...Shelly is a dumb loud mouth bitch!!!

For the most part I would have to say that it was a concert like no other!!! A superb night that I will never forget!

Awesome show, amazing day as well. Went to the Cubs game before and stood next to the cup, ran into Brooke Lopez from Stanford in the lobby before the show. The perfect weekend for a PJ fan whos also nuts about sports.

BTW if anyone has any ideas about how to frame the Klausen/Vedder poster, I'd love to seem 'em, pretty unique black border on that poster.

We had an amazing time at the show on Friday. First, I would like to thank 10C for the 4th row seats in the pit. I've never been that close at a regular pj show and it cool to be so close.

I was surprised how moving arc was. It gave me chills. Ed seemed to play really well last night with only a few minor screw ups. He did seem annoyed by the screamers in the crowd.

I would like make a comment about how annoying it was to have people creeping up to the pit area from farther back in the theater. It started with random people walking up the aisle, blocking my view, and taking pictures/videos. I was sitting right on the ailse and it was really distracting. During the encores, about 20-30 people left their seats to stand in the ailse. Why do people think they are entitled to leave their seats and stand in the ailse? It was ridiculous how childish these people were when security finally asked them to leave. Complete douche bags.

I also saw 3-4 men in their late 30's or early 40's diving/fighting over a guitar pick thrown by ed at the end of the night. Pathetic.

All in all, outside of the people leaving their seats and crowding the ailse in the pit, it was a great night and amazing show.

I personally enjoyed Thursday night better then Friday but it was still excellent. When Eddie mentioned the guy who pissed himself on Thursday night I was sad to say I was directly behind that guy. He was so wasted and even though his friend denied he did it, after the dude got escorted away, his friend tried to cover up the pee on the ground by pouring his beer all over it.. It was disgusting. I enjoyed seeing Sean Penn and John Cusack Friday night..

I did have two drunk people (a couple) that made out all night long and basically groped eachother like they were alone directly in front of me so it kind of ruined my experience..

The music and Eddie's energy was great though..

The guy who shouted Alive was right behind me. He was also the guy that took a piss at his seat. He got kicked out with about 30 minutes left. The manager was nice enough to give us a pit pass for the rest of the show since there was urine on the floor by our seats. The guy was right on the aisle. I got a beer and went to the bathroom in 1 min 30 secs and he was too drunk to move.

No one got urinated on and we got to move up. It was a great time and I would never let a dumb ass ruin a night I would never forget. We got to see arc from like the 2nd row and he was facing right at us. Amazing.

I have been trying to wrap my thoughts up on this show and have decided just to say this was the best show of my life. I can't even pick out a highlight it was all so great! Thanks Ed for giving me a visual to some of my favorite songs. I was standing in balcony 1 behind the seats pretty dead on from Ed and I will never forget this night. It was simply beautiful.

did eddie dedicated any songs to Layne Staley as it was his b'day on the 22nd, i thinks its the first time since his death any members of PJ have played a show on his b'day.

    Great Shows!!!

Did anybody get pics of the Stanley Cup? I was able to get my hand on it and would love a picture of it.

I was close to Sean Penn and thanked him for asking Ed to do the soundtrack I also told him to ask him to do another one.

What's the story with the Stanley Cup ??!
Was it on stage, in the halls...and why was it there ?

Sean Penn attended the show ?!
That is awsomely cool that you got to thank him for the ITW soundtrack, I would've told him the same...
Great intro by him for Pearl at' The Who Celebration Concert earlier this summer !!

Rarely on this tour that the first night seemed better than the 2nd, from the setlists and the stories and from the two shows I've seen in Montreal. For me HURT alone steals it.

Chris Chelios had the Cup in the private box and I was sitting next to the box. I had to step on a chair to reach it. It was an amazing feeling knowing the history of that Cup.

Sean Penn and John Cusak were in the same box. It looked like Eddie was hanging with Chelios and Cusack all weekend. They were seen at the Cubs game all 3 days (Fri, Sat and Sun.)

Hurt was the highlight for me too.

Unbelievable show! I am so glad I was able to pick up some tickets, even if they were in the gallery section!

The most disturbing image of the night for me was the couple in front of us that decided Porch was a song to grind to. It was bad enough for me to want the song to end so they would stop!

Grind as in GRIND GRIND dance grind? That's just....wrong! lol...

we had a very excited guy in front of us (cheli fan and just SUPER into the show - standing up raising fist..etc.) and was bothering everyone around us...the people behind us, lol even offered up his umbrella to clock the guy in the head. Luckily, my boyfriend (mr. peacemaker) talked to him and then he chilled out. That was my only irritant of the night - early on.

Of these 3 shows I went to, I learned something. I learned that if you respond to someone that is bothering you with hostility, that they will be hostile back. But if you calmly say something like "hey, this is not how your supposed to act at this show - your gonna get kicked out by security if you keep it up, your really bothering those around you. Could you please chill out." They are more likely to relax instead of get angry and mean. Unless its some drunk crappy fratfaced meathead. :) just my experience...

I don't know how I missed John Cusack. Dang!

And yet somehow, that totally doesn't diminish the evening at all. What a great show! Just amazing, every aspect of it. The cover choices were fantastic, Ed was in a great mood, and I totally forgot about the crazy stage bum-rusher until now. Heh!

Loved meeting all of you, too. Hope to see you again soon!

btw...the guy sitting to Sean's right (our left) is the Producer for Into The Wild. Can't recall his name but I remember his face while watching some "extras" from the movie.

P.S. What song was requested by JC? I couldn't remember. I assume John Cusack not Jesus Christ even though Ed's banter about Jesus Christ was pretty funny. Something about Ed saying he talks to Jesus Christ all the time but he doesn't talk back.

Why such resentment towards "fratfaced meathead's" all the time? What is fratfaced? Is that like game face?

i dunno i made it up...just ripping on the meatheads who like to ruin pj shows. I'm sure someone who feels the same way would gladly butt in....

Although, I guess i shouldn't have used the frat word because i do know some great guys who were in fraternities...but I've also met a lot of assholes too - it really depends on the frat (which i'm too old to even give a care in the world about today anyways)...and

I guess that goes quite against what i just said in another thread about putting people down. So, my apologies. I'm a bad girl. Spank spank.

    PEACE :)

(i do have to say, as an early pj fan and collector of old boots, interviews, articles, etc. i do recall Eddie making quite a lot of fun of these same types of people back in the day, so maybe some of my thoughts come from hearing and reading these, lol.)

    just sayin'

Thanks Pat. Assume you were the guy with the Kerry Wood jersey on. My wife and I were right behind you. ALMOST had my camera on when Chelios pulled out the Cup. It was firing up. Good job holding back from clocking the two Sox fans to your left who were yelling Cubbies Suck during "...all the way" and Vote Republican during whatever.

We were in the 12th row and had a few drunken idiots in the vicinity but for the most part everyone was cool. Thanks 10C for the great seats!

I think Thursday night's show was better, but Friday night was still awesome. Ed seemed a little more irritated because of the drunk screamers and the fact that someone who had attended Chicago 1 criticized him bringing out Thomas Young (I can't blame him, I would have been mad about it too).
But the setlist was fantastic...Blackbird!!! Brain Damage (even though it got cut short)! Wishlist! A great end to an amazing tour.
