Hail Hail single question

Just acquired the Australian single of Hail Hail. It's got a different cover art to other countries. Just wondering if anyone knows why. Also wondered if the different cover arts are common with other singles.

I used to have the Japanese release & the cover was the poloriod of what looked like someone at sea.

The Japanese cover is the same as the European covers, but for some reasons Australian one is different. Mine is white with Pearl Jam written in red and underneath in type writer style writing is Hail, Hail then underneath that is Black, Red, Yellow.

Probably the same reason why Japan got Vitalogy "Freak" and the rest of the world did not… Cool marketing!!!

Hail, Hail wasn't the only single to get different cover art in Australia.
