Favorite Ed quotes from this tour

Here's my favorite quotes, from Chicago 1 and 2:
"Some of you are very high right now" (referring to the audience in the top balconies).
"Don't bother yelling out requests tonight...don't even fucking bother...I'm part of this band, maybe you've heard of it, it's called Pearl Jam, and I've been doing setlists for them for 17-18 years now; I think I know what the fuck I'm doing. I don't need some rookie yelling stuff at me. Plus, I'm gonna play stuff tonight that you can't even imagine...I can't really imagine it either, but we'll try it."
"I heard some people up here pointing out the ukelele...it's a mandolin, you uncultured bastards!"
"Chicago women break your heart, you know...that's why whenever I hear a feminine voice here yell 'I love you Eddie' that I kind of cringe and go, 'Yeah...I know what you're about. You'll fuck me. I meant fuck me over...the 'over' is silent.'"
"Shut the fuck up, we'll talk later...I'm sorry, that was impolite. Shut the fuck up, please."
"I mean, I'd like to just sit up here and sing a bunch of happy songs, like 'Love Shack', but there's just too much going on in this country not to speak out about it." He tried a few chords of "Love Shack" then, just as a joke.
"I don't mean to be crude, but don't turn me into a jukebox and start sticking quarters up my ass."
"Look at the size of my..." (crowd goes crazy) "I was talking about my guitar, what did you think I was talking about? Oh wait, I'm holding the smallest guitar right now...George, get me a really big guitar! The 12 string or a bass!"

i love boots of shows that i have been at.
nice!
Ha, I WISH I had recordings of these shows. Actually that isn't even half of all the stuff he said, it's just paraphrased based on what I remember.
Dang, you remembered well! These all ring true for me. I can remember the moments he said um'. These were definite highlights. Thanks!
How did you remember all those?

(I know this is butchered but I am going by memory from the show)
"There's a really weird phenomenon with the acoustics in this place. It's like, whenever someone shouts something, it travels down from the crowd onto the stage and gets all mixed up. And it's weird because by the time it gets to me, all I hear is "I'M AN IDIOT!""
Cracked me up.
Typo Man: "Thanks kidz, but remembir, stay in skool!"
“I received a note today on the way in and I just want to read you a small part of it. This is just today in the back alley, I met this young woman and it says some really nice things about our band...talks about going to school and she’s looking around at all her friends and seeing who they are and who she might have been, but things changed for her. She says ‘4 years and 11 pearl jam concerts later, I am an entirely different person. Instead of listening to pop garbage on my ipod, I’m listening to albums like Quadraphenia on vinyl. Instead of watching tasteless reality TV, I’m playing guitar and writing music. Instead of voting for the next American Idol, I’m making sure that all students my age are registered to vote for the next president.’
We probably got into it, you know, this band..and everybody, and our group...you know, we probably got into it for selfish reasons because we we love music, but to have this be a byproduct of doing what we have done, I can’t tell you what it means. It’s a mind blowing thing and I’m so proud. And I don’t think we did anything to deserve it... Thank you, Lindsay and I’d like to dedicate this one...to you”
