When selling a professionally framed poster..

How do you determine what the value is? I have two posters that were done by AC Moore probably ten years ago...I'm not the most knowedgable about framing, so I followed some suggestions on here and asked for certain things such as acid free and whatnot. Remembering back, I think the cost of getting them done was about $300 total.

I see on ebeans that the posters are approx $100 on their own. So $150 for the frame job and plus the poster...$250 seems like a lot. Would a frame really up the value that much?

These posters have been basically the centerpieces of wherever I have lived the past ten years...I would never even think to part with them unless my family absolutely needed it

I'm trying not to be accused of starting an auction, so if I get some feedback I will post them for sale with a number

Well it depends if the buyer likes the frame job and wants to keep it that way. Sometimes it's toigh cause it's subjective

Framing is subjective. I don't see it adding a whole lot to the value unless it's a tough to find poster.

Another challenge is the shipping cost. Unframed should be $10-$15. Framed may run you $60-$100 depending on the size.
You may find it's easier to sell and ship unframed and eat the cost of your frame, unless you find a buyer who really likes it and is willing to pay extra for it.
    Good luck
