Stone Temple Pilots No. 4 finally get a vinyl release!

ZodZod Posts: 10,591
I'm pretty stoked about this. I'm a big fan of the first four STP albums (not so much of the last two). I think No. 4 flies a little under the radar. It's probably why it never got a vinyl release back in '99. I'm pretty stoked I'll finally be able to get a copy.

It's being put out by music on vinyl:

I ordered mine from the UK. It's my understanding that amazon is a crapshoot for trying to get the limited edition colour vinyl version. I used to order mine from whatrecords but newonvinyl seems to remove the VAT for foreign customers (like amazon uk does) which saves a few more dollars.

My credit card seems to be charged around 39 cdn for the preorder. Not bad all in.

No. 4 is a pretty loud assed record. It's on the list!

I might have to get this, the song "Atlanta" is one of my all time favorites. I play it for all my friends and they think it's The Doors.

Have to grab this one. Is Tiny Music out there on LP? To the thread starter - the fifth album isn't all that great but really give number six a try, I think its their best since Songs from the Vatican...

Yah.. Tiny Music got a reissue several months ago (unlike No. 4 it was released on Vinyl in the 90s too). Maybe I'll have to give the last album another chance.

Tiny music was released by Music on Vinyl last year. First run was 2500 on blue vinyl. It sounds really good. Seems to still be available from What Records.

    is it the white version?
  • Yes it is. I haven't seen any black pressings yet. I'm guessing those will be available at a later date and it's only the white pressings for now.

Yep.. That album (6th release) is a solid listen, damn good album. I had high hopes for STP again after that release. Got No.4 cranked up now, so freaking good….
