    How about:
    - Spoon - Girls Can Tell, Kill the Moonlight, Gimme Fiction ... could throw in Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga as a 4th straight.
    - Beck - Mellow Gold, Odelay, Mutations (One Foot in the Grave is a release in there as well), then Midnight Vulture, Sea Change, Guero

For Pearl Jam: To pick up Ten I would have to go Ten / VS / Vitalogy, but the combo of Vitalogy / No Code / Yield is also incredible. Tough to beat either trio.

I love the PE album trio above as well. Solid gold!

Although when it comes to Neil's 70s work you could pick any 3 album run from this list:

Sugar Mountain – Live at Canterbury House (1968)
Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere (1969)
    After the Gold Rush (1970)
Live at the Cellar Door (1970)
    Live at Massey Hall (1971)
    Harvest (1972)
    Time Fades Away (1973)
    On the Beach (1974)
    Tonight's the Night (1975)
    Zuma (1975)
    American Stars 'n Bars (1977)
    Comes a Time (1978)
    Rust Never Sleeps (1979)
    Hawks & Doves (1980)

Beautiful picks Mohab! So many to remember!!! BC has got to be the most underrated songwriter ever. Although I have every one of his albums that are avaliable on vinyl (on the 'True North' label of course), I'd probably go with some of his later albums that got a bit of airplay (but that's not why I chose them): Stealing Fire > World of Wonders > Big Circumstance

And you cheated on 'Oregon', not picking them 3 in a row :P I'd go: Winter Light > Friends > Out Of the Woods (I cheated too, skipping the Elvin Jones album and 'Violin' >:)

Actually, 'Moon and Mind' is the only vinyl disc of theirs I don't have up until 1980. I really would have loved to have seen Oregon live.

I thought I'd get away with cherry picking from Oregon's catalogue around here! I have a relative that saw them on the California coast in a small outdoor theatre circa their very first live album. I also like your Bruce choices. I could also go In the Falling Dark, Further Adventures and Dancing in the Dragon's Jaws.

Nice to see the JL Ponty in the OP's list, two of those aforementioned albums I have heard so far are incredible.

Amazing, unusual order haha! I like the songs on your top 2, but the only recording I can't get through is "Beyond the Wheel" for obvious reasons: wow.

  • PJ Vitalogy, No Code, Yield. This shouldn't even be a discussion…

Haha, like Stone in Pearl Jam Twenty talking about how he initially thought Vitalogy "wasn't our best record."

Bob Marley & ACDC..... Those albums were in sequential order when they were released? I don't think so, it's much harder to names these albums when this thread is about listing them forward or backwards in order of release.
