Eddie Vedder Soundcheck Night 1

Just wanted to finally post this that some friends of mine that I work with for Budweiser were able to see Eddie do a 1 hour soundcheck on Thursday evening. Eddie started around 4pm and played just past 5pm playing some obscure songs that they could not recall. They did say that he played 4-5 tracks off Into the Wild.
I started getting phone calls from them while he was playing and I was kicking myself in the ass for not attending the show to work it. I decided to work the show the second night and hoped that I would experience the same soundcheck that they did but Ed rehearsed one.
Not sure what the song was that Ed did on Friday when he started recording his voice over and over again, but i guess my friends Tom and Brian sat and watched him rehearse that during his Thursday's soundcheck and were the only 2 bodies in the entire venue sittin in the 3rd row center.
After his rehearsal, Ed hopped off the stage and came down to chat with them. He talked about being there back when he was young and seeing The BOSS and that he was going to rome the venue and sit in the seat that he sat in nearly 20 years or so ago.
They shook his hand and said best of luck. Ed asked if they wanted a picture but they had no camera. Like I said I worked the second night with my two buddies in hopes of witnessing what they saw and was unfortunalety the unlucky one (heard he was with Chelios all day).
Anyways I was able to meet him yesterday at the Cubs Game after he threw out the first Pitch at Wrigley. Ed sat down on the left field line 3 rows off the field and then Chelios met up with him sometime after the 3rd inning. Ed stayed for the whole game then disapperared into the crazy crowd.
This ends the story of a crazy weekend.
Later.

To make my kids roll their eyes, I like to say,
"If his name wasn't Eddie Vedder, it'd be Ghandi"..........
