This May Be The Cheesiest Christmas Present Ever...

I don't sing, and I barely play the guitar and ukulele, but my wife is always asking me to play for her. I'm so self conscious about it, I just don't do it. However, the other day I thought maybe I could just record a couple of songs, and send them to her as part of her Christmas. I think it would be a good surprise, but I'm just so blah about my playing. She loves Satellite and Without You, so I learned those and recorded them. Are these presentable enough? I feel like I need a second opinion. haha

Dude, you ain't got shit to worry about. Sounds fine man. She's your wife, she's gonna love it. And if she doesn't, well, you know what not to give her next Xmas!

    That´s exact what I thought!
She will love it, no doubt!
And you did it - even if you don´t feel comfortable - big respect! I would say you are her gift ! ;)

I agree with both of them. She's gonna love it.

Huge step posting these on the internets - you can't be *too* modest!
I think it sounds good, your voice has a nice scratchy sound to it. I mean that in a good way.

I can't even sing backup vocals among my own bandmates, I get all choked up and nervous.

Shaw!!! Barely play...?? Both sound like the recording - didn't think so with Without You at first but then quickly remembered it has that funky beginning. Both of these are definitely presentable and she's going to :x them. I think it's even safe to say she'll prolly cry - oh and she'll want more recorded too lol!
Oh please let it rain today.

She loved it!! I didn't even give it to her until after everything was over last night, and everyone had gone home. She said it was the best gift she'd ever been given in her entire life (and I have given her some pretty good gifts over the years haha). I think she was stunned to be honest. Her eyes welled up, and she didn't say anything after the first listen...she just started playing them over again. It was pretty awesome. Thanks again for all the kind words of encouragement.

    You speak the truth :-D

Doesn't matter when, but that kind of effort to bring happiness is priceless and means as much as the gift itself.

Actually, sometimes that IS the gift.

    Well-done, Shawshank!
