I don't care if I'm overreacting, but the Cubs wished Eddie a happy birthday on twitter and also said "see you in 2015" and I know that could mean a lot of things, but I don't care I'm f*@#ing excited! Just a reminder when they played Wrigley, they announced it in January.

I saw that too and had a tiny rush of excitement. I'm sure it's just a reference to Ed's expected attendance at Cubs games in 2015.... But who knows?5/3/92 Omaha, NE

I wouldn't read too much into it. He's usually there once a year to do the first pitch and 7th inning stretch. I'd say they're more likely to play Lolla than Wrigley next year. I'd rather two nights at the UC though with no weather or curfew to deal with.2003 - June 15 Fargo

I would love to see Wrigley round 2!Sometimes you find yourself

Lets see them hit a Chicago venue they haven't yet, like Northerly Island. Fan club only for the GA area in front and grandstands, rest of public in the newer lawn section behind.0

:-<jesus greets me looks just like me ....0

I wasn't impressed with Northerly Island. Been there 3 times this summer and I thought the venue sucked. Probably my least favorite....and that will definitely not be your view. It's too flat and you're standing on asphalt in the front section. They're supposed to improve the grounds but not sure when it'll be completed.
What about a return to Soldier Field?Soldier Field, Chicago, IL 7-11-1995; United Center, Chicago, IL 6-29-1998; MGM Grand, Las Vegas, NV 10-22-2000 ~PJ10~; Pepsi Center, Denver, CO 4-1-2003; Cricket Pavilion, Phoenix, AZ 6-7-2003; United Center, Chicago, IL 6-18-2003; Alpine Valley, East Troy, WI 6-21-2003; Fox Theatre, St. Louis, MO 10-5-2004; The Gorge, George, WA 9-1-2005; United Center, Chicago, IL 5-16-2006; United Center, Chicago, IL 5-17-2006; Pepsi Center, Denver, CO 7-2-2006; Pepsi Center, Denver, CO 7-3-2006; United Center, Chicago, IL 8-23-2009; United Center, Chicago, IL 8-24-2009; Rogers Arena, Vancouver, BC 12-4-2013; Key Arena, Seattle, WA 12-6-2013; iWireless Arena, Moline, IL 10-17-2014 ~No Code Show~; Xcel Energy Center, St. Paul, MN 10-19-2014; Bradley Center, Milwaukee, WI 10-20-2014 ~Yield Show~; Pepsi Center, Denver, CO 10-22-2014 ~PJ24~: Wrigley Field 1 & 2, 2016; Safeco Field, Seattle Home Shows 1 & 2; Wrigley Field, Chicago Away Shows 1 & 2....0 -
I love all this speculation... I bet the Cubs knew exactly what they were doing when they sent out that tweet! I'm not letting this go until I get another shot at Wrigley!0
-
No, there won't be a Wrigley 2. 100% about singing take me out to the ball game.0

Northerly Island is one of the worst venues I've ever been to.With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0

Any show in Chicago is music to my ears. Hope whatever it is (if anything) it gets announced and sold at the same time as shows in other cities. Would rather not have to fight the whole country and world for tickets again.0

Eddie goes to many Cubs games so I wouldn't read too much into that Tweet. There was a picture of him in 2014 with Jack White at Wrigley. They also wished Eddie a happy birthday at the UC during yesterday's Hawks game.6/26/98 & 6/27/98 - Alpine Valley, 10/9/00 - Allstate Arena - Rosemont, IL 6/18/2003 - United Center, 5/16/2006 - United Center,

northerly island is the worst fucking venue of all time, has so much potential with that skyline but it truly blowsWrigley 2013 Cinci 20140

Wrigley 2 should happen again. Wouldnt expect in to be the fastest sellout in history again though. Foo's sold out 45,000 tickets in 6 minutes, no fan club presale.
