Hi,
just received the DVD and all I get on my screen is that this format isnt supported in my country. Looks like the NTSC system isnt supported on European DVD players?
Anyone with same experience?
What can I do?
Thought I would enjoy some PJ this weekend but ....

It's that Region 1 isn't supported by your DVD player. If you search the net for your dvd player there should be a code you can enter so it will play the dvd.
Hopefully if your TV isn't too old it should be able to show NTSC.
Weird: on one player, it works fine.
But!
On the player that's connected to the big screen TV, the DVD freezes right after Alive, and won't work, and I can't even access the bonus stuff. Really, really annoys me.
tsk all. It works on my computer only... still good but ...hmm. got a brand new expensive Panasonic DVD recorder/player etc... but doesnt work on that most probably thanks to the Region Code ...
Damn.. brand new and expensive! Did the link I gave you not have a hack for that one then?
will have a look at it later on. gotta get kids to bed!!! tks all for help.

Some European DVD Players don't them at all - they won't even recognize the disc. Some others begin playing them, but at some point they freeze. Some others play them normally, but the picture is black & white. Finally, some others play them fine. Computers rarely face any problem with Region encoded DVDs.
NTSC isn't really a problem for us here - almost every DVD Player and TV is compatible with NTSC. The problem is in the US with PAL discs I believe.
I have also ordered the 10C version (which by the way I haven't received yet), but I did it knowing that my DVD Player doesn't support Region 1 discs. I will copy Immagine In Cornice in a DVD-R and enjoy watching it on my TV, or else I'm just gonna watch it on my PC screen. That's what I did with a Black Crowes DVD that I purchased from a US seller.
A bit of info here http://www.mvps.org/marksxp/WindowsXP/dvd/regions/regions.php but google for more.

When I got my copy from Play.com I noticed the NTSC sign on the back and phoned them up. They said it should work in a UK player. Then I noticed that next to the NTSC text it does say "Regions 2/3/4/5" which means it's ok for Europe. It did work as well.
Does your copy have this? If it says "Regions 2/3/4/5" then it should be ok. If it says Region 1 then its a US version unfortunately but you might be able to play it on a multi-region player or something.
