aaahhhhh, just got back from Munich. Just amazing, blown away really.
Boys havent played for two nights and you could feel it that they had to get rid of the energy once again... No chance to stop, chill out, relax a bit. You been just thrown into it again and again.
EVEN FLOW blown. REAR VIEW MIRROR - man! and PRESENT TENSE.... absolutely fcking amazing.
Just surpriced it wasnt a full house party yesterday, reckon just 60/70% of the capacity... but who cares.
tks once again.

I Can`t believe they play fu**ing Germany. They don`t understand what Pearl Jam is all about. Germans just listen to Heavy Metal. I hope Pearl Jam are ready for å sell out show in Norway next year.

    Nice set yesterday :-)

  • Germans just listen to Heavy Metal

    Nice set yesterday :-)

Coming from Norway that's quite a funny one since they some kind of invented Black Metal, I think (not to forget the mighty a-ha)... :-)

But honestly, I think it wasn't totally packed because lot of potential goers will see them at the Southside Festival (not that far away) and, since going to a festival is quite expensive, didn't want to pay twice. The same problem will occur next week in Düsseldorf, lots of people I know will see them at the Hurricane and skip the Düsseldorf show because of that.

    60-70% capacity?

That's terrible. I was looking at going to Munich, but the flights were just too expensive. Wish I'd have gone now!

Whooooa! great show great setlist great crowd. The flore was not extremly crowded wich is weard since the tickets were hard to get. There was a problem with the 10c entrance we were packed inside the hall for more than an hour some people for 2. We were told that people were already in when we got the tickets and wrist bands. We didn't knew what was happening untill we made it on top. Some of us got there directly from our busses. What was realy happeninig is that you passed the security check at the 1st door and then there were those stairs and a small place on top of them, we were all packed there and on the stairs it was a realy small place and it was realy hot some girl almoust fanted, we couldn't get any watter or anything. Some girl from switzerland had a fan with her and hellped us getting some air. And that's part one. Before they opened the 2nd door they told us there was a sistem to get us in slowly or something smilar. Not true. We passed the 2nd door. And than were blocked in front of the 3rd doors. We agregated in front of those 2 doors. A small amount of people passed them and got their tickets scanned and stood on the other side then we waited some 20 minutes and it was 6 pm already, not knowing what the hell was going on. I manged to pass the doors when smebody with a handcart passed trough us. I waited there and got my ticket scanned till they let us go down. We went frst but then they let all the people in and it was a huge rush down the stairs, i almoust felt down the stairs as somebedy behind me running real fast accidentaly pushed me. Of course security was optimisticaly yelling at us. When we found good places we were already dehidrated and since it was already late, not knowing what to expect, didn't go back for drinks and didn't want to pay 6.5 € for some drink they were selling on the flore, we tryed to get some watter from the security guys, that didn't want to give us any untill later. But they were giving us plenty later during the show and Eddie passed some of his wine in somebodies big glass to us.

The show itself was incredible, we were very loud from begining to end, with the eception of No More War, the sound was weird with a realy strong echo. Eddie said early in the show that we were the best crowd this year, he apologised fo not talking in german because he was to drunk.
They were definitely taping the show, they placed the microphones for the crowd before the concert started, the show has been videotaped to, Ed even joked with his cigarette looking at the camera, he left his cigaretts on Booms organ when he went on the stage. He came to Stones side where we were some times during the shows, Mike came in at the end and give a pick to someone, Stone spent quite a lote of time in front of us to, he seemed to have a great fun, I think Ed coppied his duck dance in the begining. The setlist was just blowing us away song after song. I noticed that Ed made a sign to Matt after Baba to cutt it of, with his hand in front of his neck. When he came in front of us at the end hs eyes were very red and his voice was very raspy at times so maybe he didn't want to push it. The show wasn't short and the encore breakes were very short ,but i've read that there were a couple of songs on the setlist that weren't performed.
The show was full of highlightes I realy hope the travel packeg fans will get the cd, and pass it around. That reminds me there were baloons with "Crazy Mary" writen on them.

The flights weren't that expensive(£180 return for me and my girlfriend from Manchester)

Now the hotel, that's another matter it cost us £360 for two nights, and because we had an early flight on wednesday morning we only spent 2 hours in the hotel on the second night.

Plus having to pay £90 for my ticket off Ebay(i missed the email about the 10c presale)it turned into quite an expensive trip

Still, it was worth it to see the mighty PJ, and that setlist was Amazing.
