Same here. That's why I'm glad to see this day roll around: it means that (incrementally) it will be lighter, longer.

^^^^^what the fuck kind of emoticon is that? Supposed to be a peace sign. Wow, shits getting real in here.....

Edit-looks like a fucken wishbone. Hey 10C, we could've used this emoticon for thanksgiving. Always a day late and a buck short ey? =))

I laughed at the wishbone comparison, BB.

I've been loving the spectacular sunrises of late, due to the time change. It makes getting going in the mornings a bit easier. But also not big on early darkness. Seems to bring out even more of how shitty most drivers are (at least, in this city).

And here's one my favorite versions of the peace sign.

Ya had to drag that in!

Yesterday morning, around 6:30 I think, my husband was already up and came into the bedroom. Opened the blinds to my :-w and told me to check it out.

Looked almost like what I'd imagine an apocalypse - bright and deep hues of orange, ALL OVER. Bright and cloudy at the same time but in technicolor...tough to describe.

In my half-awake state, it was surreal. Couldn't get back to sleep afterward, dammit.

    Hooray for longer days!
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

  • Had a great Solstice dinner with my sister and fam :) the wee ones looked super cute in their Solstice presents.
