cant get my bootleg to open in itunes?

i just bought a boot, and i can not get it to open in itunes. why is this? what do i have to do to get it to work in itunes? thanks
they call them fingers, but i never see them fing. oh, there they go

    mp3, tried to unzip it, but whenever i close the unzip app(winzip), i can no longer play it in itunes. it says it cant be found

    extract the files to another folder first. then convert. see if that works.

    use an actual decent media player like vlc.

    I got mine in a zip file...basically you right click on the file, go to "Open With", it'll give you an iTunes icon, and there you go. That's how I got it to stay on iTunes instead of giving me the "We can't find this file" message.

    you have two ways of listening to music with iTunes:
    1. you listen to a plugged source (cd, zip file, etc.)
    2. you listen to the music that is in your iTunes music folder.

    I think you are in the first configuration. If you want the music to be always in your iTunes library and listenable, you must go in the preferences and, in the "advanced" options, click on "copy files into the iTunes music folder when added to the library".
    (I translate from the Freench version of iTuens, so the text may be a bit different).

    After that, each time you open a sng with iTunes, the song will be added in the defined folder on your computer and you'll be able to listen to it every time you want.
