    I did see that part after the credits, I'm hoping she stays wherever they sent her moving crate. I do think that Mickey did it on purpose knowing she wasn't dead. Probably his way of "scaring straight" Debbie.

    Can't believe that was the season finale. I hope next season starts out with Jimmy/Steve coming back and Sammi, Gus, Debbie's poor decisions gone.
    I read somewhere that Gallavich might be on ice cuz Noel Fisher (I think that's his name) has a movie so might not be available for the next season.

    I hope Mickey comes back. Over the last two years, his character has been one of the best.
    Just watched the finale. Great season.

    Over all, I thought this season sucked. They have strayed to far from the premise of the show. The last scene with Lip, Ian, and frank smoking a joint in the van is what this show lacked all season. The sammi, gus, shawn thing is drawn out and run its course. I'd love to never see any of those characters back next year.

    Where's sheila? She was good for that show.

    I definitely think that last scene was a highlight of the season. Gallavich, Fiona & Sean (& Jimmy for like a week), Frank & Lip had good stuff this season. The rest I think could've been better. I do miss Shiela, but I think she had a pretty epic exit.

    It's definitely much different than it used to be. But all the kids are growing up and going out on their own....kinda the natural progression.

    I thought it was a pretty solid season overall. Hopefully Sammi gets thrown in jail and we never see her again. It would be a shame if Mickey doesn't come back....like mca said, he has been one of the best characters over the past couple seasons.

    Just finished binging on all of season 5 and holy shit was it a good one. I would say the best one since the first couple of seasons. Mickey and Ian are heartbreaking, they are truly the great love story of the show but with so much to face. Not surprised by the Debbie story line at all, it has been headed in this direction for a while now. She has always been the one to have the deluded dreams of a 'family' and this is truly how it goes down in real life as well. It was nice to see Kev and V not be so 'perfect' for a change, I mean you still want them together but it was getting a little nauseating in the previous seasons.
    As for the rest I like what I see, with two exceptions. Sammy is just fucking irritating and redundant, would like to see her gone. Lip with the in love/obsessed with his prof, didn't like it when they spun a similar line with Karen and not looking forward to seeing it again.
    All I can say it I LOVE this show, so happy it is coming back for season six, now just have to endure the eight fucking month wait AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I didn't like season 5. The shows premise is how the Gallaghers are as a family, a whole. Season 5 strayed to far away from that with the individual stories. Fiona almost seemed like a "bad guy" at times. I know shows evolve and you can't repeat the same things over and over. But I liked the first 3 seasons and hope they gear it back in that direction.

    Overall, I really do like the show. Hopefully it hasn't run its course and there's a couple good seasons left.

    Well, they really had to write individual stories for the characters. I mean, they all have grown up, and aged 5-6 years. That's the reality of life. You grow up, go to college and or move out.
    While season 5 had some weak spots, I thought it was a great season!

    One of the interviews I read had pointed that out. They went this way (the individual storylines) cuz that's just what happens. Was Fiona like 18ish when the show started? (I don't remember) and Debbie was like 8 or so? When the kids are in that age group they're more insulated within the household, which is why like Lip and a little bit Ian had the outside storylines - but now Debbie is like Ian's age in the beginning of the show. For Fiona it was different cuz she was basically the default den mother, as the kids grew up, that shit changed.

    Yes they story lines are more isolated but the core Gallagher family is still present and accounted for. When they need to be together they are and with the same Gallagher style.
    It was nice to see some change this season as the last season dragged a bit for me.
    It's still my favorite TV show and whether I like it or not I'm glad they can still surprise me.

    Debbie might be the worst character on TV. I really hope this baby stuff with her doesn't dominate the whole season. Other than that storyline, really liked the first 3 episodes.

    I have a feeling it's going to. I was hopeful for a minute that she'd changed her mind, but nope. It was a good storyline for three episodes. Should've resolved it by now. If they actually have her pregnant for the whole season I'd be disappointed.
