I have a major problem with looking at chewed up food. Makes me feel kind of sick.

Ah, hallucinogenics, those were the days. Sigh. :-O

I still am one. 62 and going strong.Peace.

    Same here. Except I'm only 60. ;)
We referred to ourselves as "freaks" way back in the day.

Reading through this thread, I'm laughing at the idea that hippie = dirty. My hygiene's pretty good but I'll still accept the label. =))

When the term tree-hugger is used, is this meant literally? I mean, I love trees, have climbed a few and admired the beauty, age, shade, form and fruits of many.

    But hugged?

Never! It'd feel awkward plus I'm not a fan of splinters 3:-O

Tree hugger as in nature lover, animal lover, environmentalist etc. I do stand for unity and peace too but not so much a hippy. Does that even make sense?

I would probably classify myself a "corporate hippie". My ideals and lifestyle mirror that of a hippie but with one small exception, I'm also a hard working professional in the tech industry making the coin needed to fund all my concert excursions!!!

I'm somewhere in no where land, part hippie, part grunger, part jock, part prep. My dad used to call me a Heinz 57. God I miss that guy.
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!

I believe a hippy is someone who radiates postive vibes, is a good person to others, loves nature and has real compassion. I also think you can live the hippy life with a job and shower. I wish I was around back then, I'm 36 ✌️
