The original rumor was they were going to play 3 nights in each city with each night focusing on one era of the band. That would have been cool.

Also note U2 is supposed to release another album shortly. My guess is each night will focus on one of the new albums. That would suck.

U2 used to be my favorite group but their shows have become too predictable. Wish they could go back to when they had three lights on stage and that was it.

Oh by the way, my GA tix cost $89 each at MSG and my section 216 cost me about $120 each.

The thing is what U2 does it the same thing most bands do. They have a static setlist and maybe they can mix 2 to 4 songs in and out of it every night. This is why for most bands I'm pretty content seeing one show when they tour.

From my experience the only bands I follow that really mix it up from one night to the next are PJ and Springsteen. Both bands play over 3 hours and every night is different. Unfortunately this is abnormal, but we want it to become normal for other bands out there with kickass giant music catalogs.

U2 used to be unpredictable. Maybe not so much the setlist, but more what will Bono do. Case in point, Electric Co at the US festival or dancing with that girl at Live Aid. Maybe they were hungrier back then.

have seen them every tour since 1984 at massey hall. they have always been great. you may not like the prices and his politics as i don't see them handing over gobs of money, but as far as the music goes they are one of the biggest bands in the world. consistently putting out great albums even if you don't like them all. ticket prices are now being run by former scalpers hired by live nation to give them an idea of what the market will bear. sort of like the guy at veggas casinos who make up the lines for betting. ticket prices to a lot of shows except pearl jam are what scalpers would have charged. now it gets even crazier. glad i went to so many shows when it was about the music and could afford to go to 3- 5 shows a week.
