The coffee is brewing
The 1st load of laundry has hit the washer
My bride and I are going out for a nice breakfast
Then we are off to the Mall to watch the Christmas shoppers for a few hours
Then we are going to get some deep dish pizza at Ginos
Before I head out for breakfast, I am preparing some chicken and dumplings in the slow cooker (8 hrs of cooking on low temp)
May put up some Christmas lights this evening

A Fun Filled Day!

    Oh, and I did the grocery shopping for the week last night. BONUS!

    Saturday morning is my absolute favorite part of the weekend, and by far my most productive.

    Getting all of the chores done early is very gratifying. Especially at this busy time of the year.
    Sounds like a lovely day!

    Yeah Campbells recipe I found on the internet.
    Im gonna use cream of mushroom and cream of celery instead of 2 cans
    of cream of chicken...Just because

    The dumplings are the canned biscuits you find in cooler section (you know what I mean)
    Anyway you tear the biscuits into pieces and throw them in the mixture.
    HMMMM
    We will see.

    And since I am buying celery and carrots for the Chicken and Dumplings.
    I guess I am forced to make a batch of chicken soup too.
    Which isn't a bad thing.

    Sounds fantastic, and oh so easy. I would definitely sub the mushroom and celery soup, great idea. Toss in some celery, carrots, mushrooms as well, just because :) I can never seem to leave a recipe as is, I always have to um, modify it in some way haha.

    Has to be one of the most satisfying meals ever. YUM.

    Fuck that, Ill cover it with chicken broth.
    Ill probably double the amount of veggies too....Just because

    Yep, some of the best meals come from my tweeking of basic recipies. You can never go wrong adding more veggies, just because. Adding the broth will only make it better. A little thyme, fresh parsley MMM!

    I am too impatient, hands on of a cook to use a slow cooker. I have to stir and futz, just can't help myself haha Although there is nothing like being out all day and opening the door and getting the tantalizing aroma of a slow simmered meal.

    Saturday morning laundry time; that's my schedule too. First load is in the dryer, second is in the washer right now.

    We are having our biggest party of the year tomorrow, our annual Christmas party. We expect about 35-40 people, give or take. Most of the baking is already done but today will still be frantic with cleaning, shopping, prepping, etc. Too bad no-one on here is coming.

    I did all my grocery shopping after work last night. Friday night. Less people. I was That guy with the full cart holding up 1 of the 3 lanes that were open. I usually just get a basket, but sometimes you need the cart! I felt I needed to apologize to the people behind me, lol
