Beat me to it, I just saw this. We know how much PJ cares about the Grammys, but still cool to see. Art is becoming more and more underappreciated as things are becoming digital, and it's cool to see PJ recognized for it, as they've always paid attention to the details when releasing stuff!

Just saw this too! Reminds me of this quote I read about Vitalogy:
Vedder found the medical book at a garage sale. Ament stated, "Ed brought in that book, and we said man that would make a great album cover." He explained that from Vs. onwards the band tried to take different approaches to packaging its records. Ament said, "We tried really hard, to make it like a book, kind of tipped it so it opened horizontally, which pissed off record stores: they had to put it in sideways." The packaging cost an extra 50 cents per copy.

Great packaging with the die cut cover, sticker sheet and lyric booklet. Hope they win.

My favorite thing about the LB packaging is the texture of the cover. It feels weirdly silky. :)

I didn't even know this was a category.

Funny that a Grammy could be awarded to a secret pseudonym. I wonder if they know who Jerome is?

What the F is "Best Recording Package". Is that even something worthy of making the televised show (in which they've pretty much abandoned all Rock awards)

They were nominated in the same category for Yield. But lost to Madonna's Ray of Light

    Jerome Turner is Eddie.
He uses the name for non-musical things like design and art contributions.

An award for the graphic design / package that a record sits in????
What does this have to do with music?

I think U2 by selling limited edition vinyls just before the Grammy deadline probably took Rock Album nom from PJ.
