Sadly, i think i'm getting old. I dont get pumped up for live shows until about 2 hours and 11 minutes beforehand. I saw Spoon last night, and I was very nonchalant about eveything - kinda didnt even care, then once I got to the show I was jumping outta my pants. I kinda like suppressing my excitement though.

I am going to PJ in WPB and Tampa, and i'm kind a feeling the same way. it's almost as if I dont really believe it's going to happen until I smell the sweat, beer, and reefer emanating in every direction. I'll kick in though, i'm not worried - about 6:37pm on wednesdat June whatever...see, I dont even remember what day it is.

Anybody else get this?

the only reason why I use such specifics is becasue I get out of work between 5-6pm everyday. then I need an hour of decompression time. in that hour my brain goes from mush, to "off", back to mush, then asking for a rum & coke. If I chose to have the rum & coke, well...who knows what the hell will happen after that. if I dont have the rum & coke things seem to be a little more tame.

needless to say, on PJ day, I will be having arum & coke in the parking lot with mush-brains, then suddenly I'll be rockin out to the sweetest band in the world.

I'm 22 and I'm so psyched for PJ and Radiohead this summer that I don't even mind that I'm graduating college in a month. with the best four years of my life ending you'd think I'd care- but knowing I will see those bands this summer makes me feel I whole lot better.

so i guess we're a little different when it comes to getting excited for a show haha.

i'm the opposite, i'm listening to as much as possible. maybe because it's i'm still somewhat new to the going to multiple shows thing. never did that before 2006, so that's my likely reason.

That is like my boyfriend... Personally I get crazy about shows the second they go on sale and that feeling never really subsides until I realize the show is over. And this trait of mine gets on his nerves sometimes. So you are not alone. But then when it does hit him, he goes fuckin psycho! It is actually quite funny because then he is the one getting on my nerves . =)

eh, I get excited the day of ticket purchase, then a bout a week ahead of time I get a little more, night before pretty pumped, day of ready for a party. Yes, that was the longest run-on sentence ever written.

Have different levels of excitment...from level one to 6.
    Level 1- Getting tickets.
Level 2-Getting off work for vacation time to head to show (PJ doesn't come to see me).
Level 3-Getting to venue and standing in line to pick up 10 club tix.
Level 4- Finding my tickets in the box with my name on it.
Level 5- Opening envelope to see seat assignment...almost hitting the roof at this point.
Level 6....getting to my seat and hearing first cord.....goosebumps, hair on skin standing to attention....shiver down my spine.

...if any of the three shows start with release....
