Defective Yield Album (All Those Yesterdays)? Am I the only one?

I've picked up my second copy of Yield on CD and at 1:34-1:35 on All Those Yesterdays, the song makes a "pop" (or glitch). There seems to be something wrong with the disc but since this is the second disc that has it, I'm wondering of this was a larger issue.
Did anyone have an issue with their Yield?

  • I guess no one has this problem? My buddy checked his copy and it's there too. Crank your systems and you might find it too. It's a pop right at 1:34-1:35 on All Those Yesterdays.
  • At this point, my yield CD has so many little glitches, that I wouldn't be able to honestly answer you.
  • I'll need to check my copy but I know for a fact that 'Do The Evolution' has something similar - I think it's at the 'Watch it go to fire' part, almost like a momentary volume drop-off.

I think I hear it it - right as Ed starts to sing 'Creating walls to call your own'? Well spotted!

Just listened through Spotify and both DTE and ATY have these oddities on there too - must have been on the final master.

  • Thanks for responding and checking. I contacted Ten Club and they say it must have been Sony and since the album is out of print, there's no way of correcting it. We'll just have to wait until a remaster I suppose.
  • Not hearing it at all.

On CD? It's a subtle but audible pop. I've had the album since 1998. It wasn't until I upgraded my stereo (not an incredible upgrade either) that I noticed it but I can hear it now on my ihome when I play it in the kitchen. Steve Hoffman forum doesn't have anything on it. I'm going to check the vinyl.

That's because they used the demo recording on the album.
