I have no idea if he is guilty or not but I will say I don't trust the words of Janis Dickisson (or what ever her name is) she may have slept he way to the top ...who knows ?

Yeah GF tough to figure out. When a woman goes back for round two leaves one wondering. Other side sure have been a lot and he has paid out. With all said, innocent till proven guilty.

when up to 15 women accuse you of pretty much the same things it's a pretty safe bet to say at the very least you are a piece of shit human being.

and a former District Attorney in Pennsylvania believes he was guilty in a 2004 case that came across his desk but didn't file charges because he didn't think there was enough to get a conviction.

not sure i agree there...there have been many cases of false accusations piling onto false accusations in the hopes of making some money or just getting attention.
The settlements, however, do not look good for Mr Cosby...somewhat damning for sure!

To me, He's in the same category as Michael Jackson. Jackson was never convicted, but the fact that he was accused time and time again makes me think that he wasn't a saint when he was alone with those kids.

As more of these women come out with these accusations, the more I think he has done some wrong, somewhere. Rape? Maybe not. Slipping a ruffie in a womans drink? Probably. I cant imagine ALL of the accusers are lying.

Comments like 'trashy', 'slept her way to the top' etc are exactly why it sometimes takes women YEARS to come forward (often while their rapist continues assaulting other women). Pretty sad (but totally unsurprising considering the source) to see slut-shaming of a possible rape victim in 2014. We've come a long way, but have a long way to go.
I'll reserve judgement of all sides until this plays out. In fact, fuck it, I'll reserve judgement, period. It's none of my business....nothing but an opportunity to announce my righteous indignation publicly.....

I think the overall pattern is what is significant in the Cosby story. If there's a repeating pattern of behavior, some of it must be true.

ohhhh yeah he's as dirty as they get in my opinion, I mean 10 girls coming forward just lately ? and in earlier years there were out of court settlements ? ...I think he is/was a preditor
and he probably did attack Janis D. but for me it's really hard to really believe anything that she says bassed on things I 've seen of her on T.V interviews, bottom line nothing will come of this other than a butt load of lost income and attorney fee's unless he pulls a O.J and writes a book titled "I didn't rape those girls...but if I did this is how I'd do it".

Is there a statute of limitations on sexual assault? Move on? Gee, how sensitive. Do you understand the reasons the majority of sex assaults go unreported even today, not to mention decades past?

"Coming forward in a culture that devalues female experiences of violence is extremely difficult, and if we really want to see a dramatic shift in how rape is dealt with as a crime we need to change our society’s treatment of violence against women. But there are still so many women who are terrified of reporting rape because the institutions that ought to be helping them threaten, traumatise, vilify and ultimately fail them. The attitudes of institutions and the backdrop of popular culture leads rape victims to doubt themselves, internalise feelings of shame and guilt and to suppress their experiences."

    http://www.theguardian.com/society/2014/oct/28/women-still-terrified-reporting-rape

This pretty much explains why so many cases do not get reported. I've know women who have been through this kind of trauma (most of probably do whether known or not). Their pain never goes away. In one particular instance, it led to a woman friend of mine literally drinking herself to death. There was nothing any of us who knew her could say or do to help save her. She was a really cool lady and it pains me to think that her experience of the abuse she was subjected to was so intense she couldn't find a way out of the pain besides drinking and, ultimately, death.

  • I won't deny there are a small percentage of sick people in the world that make false accusations. The odds of so many having been in close contact with Bill over the years is unlikely. Doesn't look good for him. Too bad this didn't get traction years ago. Could have spared at least some of them the abuse.

I just re-read my post....you are right and I apoligize, Is there a statute of limitations on sexual assault?....I don't know but I'll it's different from state to state.
I do know that victims of these crimes carry thier pain sometimes for the rest of thier lives and some just don't talk about it and hold it inside.
so yes that was a stupid thing to post...sorry.

I keep thinking back to something I heard said about Ben Roethlisberger after his second allegation:

"At this point the best case scenario is that Ben is the unluckiest guy in the world. The worst is that he is a sexual predator."

That was after being accused twice. Cosby has now been accused how many times? It is simply beyond belief that this many women could be lying about the same thing.
