Climate pact with China

I'm not 100% up to speed on this but why is it that the announcement has barely been made that the deal is being attacked by Republicans. Is it really that bad or is it just another case of NEITHER party being able to agree on something the other party wants? God, it frustrates the hell out of me!

So, Sen McConnell claims it will cost American jobs.....on the face of it, I would think any regulation on China would HELP our jobs (what do I know?).....and, secondly, Sen. McConnell.....Have you ever SEEN the air in China?????

Because of political gamesmanship and posturing from BOTH sides, we cannot get a fucking thing done. Could not, just for once, one political party admit that the opposition might....just might....have a workable idea???????

Don't know enough about it to truly comment. The part that they seem to be latching onto is the fact that US to reduce by 2025 and China allowed to hit peak in 2030 before action.

Again, I havent looked at details though.
