    Today we Remember.
    Those that were lost,
    And those that have lost a part of themselves.
    War is not supported,
    But those who have sacrificed are.
    On this Day of Remembrance.
    Anything you lose from being honest
    You never really had to begin with.


    Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.

    This day makes me cry every year. Some tears of sadness, between the last two wars, and Bosnia, I have lost six members of my family. Yet the rest still proudly serve. There are members of my family in all four branches of service and one just joined the Calvary! So now five.

    Thank you all whom put your lives on the line so that we may live freely( sorta) ! May those who serve never fall, may those who've fallen's service never be forgotten!!

    At our school's remembrance day assembly, we had a veteran who was on the beaches of Normandy.

    The students and teachers, upon having him introduced (with his wife), were awestruck. The director pointed him out in the crowd.. everybody turned to gaze with respectful admiration... and as his bio was detailed... kids and adults couldn't have shown more adulation if they tried.

    He received a generous applause and the old timer was emotionally moved. It was touching to say the least.
