Does anyone know how the lawn area is at Camden, for example do you have to be tall to see the stage and does it get pretty packed and cramed in,, I heard the Lawn at Hartford is a horrible experience

thanks

  • It's nothing like the Hartford lawn....the Camden lawn is about the same width but much, much deeper. It holds about 18,000 people.

So around the edges and the back there ought to be plenty of room to move.
It'll be crowded though, don't get me wrong.

And there will be two video screens and extra speakers so the sound and sight lines are not bad for a lawn.

Hartford lawn is like a postage stamp.....

    Enjoy!!!

Just hope you don't get stuck near a group of frat boys who are only there to get as drunk as possible and want to only hear Jeremy and Evenflow...I was on the lawn there for Coldplay and it was ruined by a large group of people who just didn't really care about the music.

But, that is the thing about the lawn, you always have the option to move, though granted, it might worsen your view.

And generally, the biggest fans are under the roof. There is nothing wrong in my eyes of people that are there to see the hits. I'm that guy at other shows, but there to have a good time. I'd suggest rabid fans get there a little early and set up shop close to the front railing. The early birds are usually devoted fans, and you sound like you'd feel better in their company.

Last time I was on the lawn in Camden for the Binaural tour, it was horrible. The drunk idiots behind us kept peeing everywhere they wanted to, and we were hit with the shrapnal. During rearviewmirror, the mosh pit were out of control, and when you are on a hill, it only spells disaster. I will never sit on the lawn again for Pearl Jam, or any other show for that matter.
9 Pearl Jam shows in my lifetime is not enough.

Same here ricecrop, but my relegation to seats is so that I don't have to worry about my wife getting trampled. Lawn is definitely a party atmosphere which could suck for many.

Yes, the pee games are less than fun :)

I love the lawn at the tweeter center. You can see perfectly fine. IT does help that I am 6'1". But yea sound is good, you can see the stage but you also have the video screens. Usually its not to cramed in to the point where you cant move around.
