Any idea whats up with the Black Keys concert posters? Ill be hitting up their show in a couple weeks and wanna make sure to pick one up.
Follow their Facebook/Twitter feeds and you'll get all the info you need. They usually post the image and poster info (including size run) the day before the show. If it's only a couple hundred copies for an arena show, I'd recommend getting there early. I'll be getting a poster signed by the band at Thursday's show in LA, as well as meet & greet and access to watch soundcheck thanks to a local radio giveaway. Can't wait.

That's awesome! I got in line about 20 minutes before the doors opened and was able to snag 2 posters in Philly. Fans of The Black Keys are less die-hard for merch than PJ fans.

Think it mostly depends on the artist and quality of the print. For the two shows I went to on the El Camino tour, both had highly in demand prints (EMEK Santa Barbara lenticular, and Mr. Brainwash's first gig posters for the LA shows) that were sold out before the opening act went on. Of course, they were smaller S/N runs than regular PJ show editions. I imagine that's the same scenario with tonight's Black Keys Sperry.

The Philly show was a Sperry and sold out very quickly but people weren't lined up outside the doors for hours waiting for them to open. You don't have to set up camp like you do for PJ.
