"Blank sheet of paper"

I haven't posted here in awhile, but I'm going through some writer's block and would like some feedback. This is a chorus to a song I am writing. Let me know what you think.

So I search my heart to find something deeper
For the words I’d say if I just happened to see her
But I just sit here alone, with a blank sheet of paper
Cause the words in my head, and the things that I said
Don’t always match up, and I sit here instead
All alone, with a blank sheet of paper

I read and re-read this.. And there's one part in the original verse that bugs me, but only cause the meter gets thrown off. However that's the beauty of music, it can carry excess in poetry like nothing else in the world so it works. I would love to hear the melodic accompaniment.. I think this will be a very good song indeed. Keep at it!
