I am hoping somebody could help me out with this. Myself and another 10c Member are making a trade through the forum, problem is we haven't figured out a way to make sure we're both covered should something go wrong. The posters are more valuable than stickers and shirts I've traded on here before.
Anyone have any suggestions? It's in the best interest of both parties and I'm trying to figure something out just to be fair...it just seems like the only option is to take a blind leap of faith haha

For the trade with a near complete stranger...have faith. There are really good people here. I have not been ripped off yet and have actually been treated very nicely by fellow 10clubbers.
Having said that...some others here have been ripped off and it makes me sad. If it happens to me I'll be mad too.

Thanks for the reply
In the end, everyone here (for the most part) know they're nothing without their reputation. Bad traders are outted pretty quick and the fear of never being able to trade with anyone on here again keeps most ppl inline.
Nothing is ever 100 percent though.
If it is that expensive, that is what I would do.
Good luck!
The middle-man possibility was offered.
Is this guy a poster here and want to be identified? Maybe people have had positive experience(s)?
Plus some pricy vinyl as well.
Good luck
That being said I have only hade one problem with a member on this board. Dwhite76 ( Don white from Arizona) We did a few trades and all was good till money got involved. He sent me a damaged poster. So sent it back but never got my $200 returned. he has not signed in since March 15 and I have lost contact with him. I am not the only one that has been ripped off by this guy. I have a felling he is on the Facebook page. So this is a warning to all, don't deal with him if you see him on Facebook.
He is just one of the bad out of the thousands of good people on here.
couldn't get a hold of him and when I did it was the same old story. he would tell me that he was getting payed tomorrow and i'll send you the money then. but nothing.
He would tell me he hade medical bills to pay ( wont get into details). And I felt bad for the guy. It seemed he was going through a rough time.
but then find out he was hitting 3 or 4 shows if not more on a tour and buying up a shit load of merch. That's what pissed me off the most.
You can stick up for him, that's fine, he may be a friend of yours, I don't know. This is just a warning to all that might deal with him. NEVER send him money as a friend.
So am right. he is creeping around face book? ask him why he's not on the forum anymore.
For the person, do an informal background check. Check their past posts on here, make sure you have their real facebook, personal email, phone number, etc. If they have a long history of posting on here, I that would count for a lot to me.

I'm not doubting what you posted. Sorry you got ripped off. Hopefully he makes it right with you.
Also, as a rule, I never send payment as a friend (unless it's to OYR). It's worth the extra dollar or 2 for the protection to get your money back if something goes wrong.
Also, I've never had a trade go bad here, and I've done quite a bit.
