That "Magic" Pedal

Anyone have a specific pedal that just made you go "yes" and you realized the effect was awesome? Something that sent chills down your back? (Multiple pedals used together also count)

  • Fulltone OCD and Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Fuzz, just my two cents
  • Fulltone OCD once was like that for me as well, I'm not leaning towards a BYOC Tube Screamer I made at the moment. Also the Xotic AC Booster is nice. Wait a minute I'm sensing a pattern...

  • I've been falling even more in love with my old Russian Big Muff lately. It's a lot more versatile than I remember it (especially compared to some of the newer models).

BBE has some nice pedals, and you can usually get them cheap through Musicians Friend with the Stupid Deal of the Day

  • I got mine through ebay. I originally was going to buy the Microvibe but I lost the bidding. I hadn't tried either pedal, just buying on a whim and I'm so glad I got the BBE soulvibe. I also love the mod screw that allows me to get even more depth. That and the modded rotovibe

  • They have a good sounding optical tremolo pedal. The soulvibe sounds good. Not a big fan of the treble booster (that is suppose to be germanium).
