Of Montreal...Any Fans?

Any fans of this band? Where should I start?

I just saw these guys last weekend, pretty good show. Honestly I'm not that familiar with their stuff but I have their most recent album Lousy with Sylvianbriar and I enjoy it. They've had quite a number of band members coming and going throughout the years (from what I've heard),so their most recent stuff might give you a better idea of what they sound like as opposed to starting at the beginning.

Good advice - thank you. I'll check out their new album. I've heard good things, but have never heard anything by them. Would you compare them to anyone?

I'm thinking about it. I graduated high school with a brother of one of the guitarists in the band. Their dad was also one of my professors in college - actually my favorite. Everyone in their family is a musician.

So, I'm thinking about checking them out, but I still want to at least enjoy the how.

Their vinyl artwork is some of the best in the biz as far as I'm concerned. One can always tell an Of Montreal album when they see it. Like spotting leopard amongst a heard of wildebeest.











Having said all that, I haven't listened to much of their stuff other than what I catch on the radio every now 'n then. I'm totally judging the book by the cover here.
