Primus and the Chocolate Factory with the Fungi Ensemble

Came out today.

I was pretty geeked out for this as I have been in a huge Primus kick lately at the perfect time. Got the vinyl ordered and got the free download. I listened to the NY Times stream last week to sample it. It was a bit over the top and it didnt click with me.

I have listened to this fucker like 6 times already today. I love it. I think its very well done. Some really good tracks. If you can take Claypool's odd-ness, this is great stuff. Its like a blend between Primus, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and Pink Floyd.

    The Nov. 8 show in Atlanta was spectacular. The Wonka stuff really works in the concert setting. The encore with the Fungi Ensemble joining in on Primus songs was another great treat.
    The merchandise is over the top...four different chocolate bars to choose from...the previously mentioned "sick" poster...the recent oral history of Primus autographed by the band...and so on.
    All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.
