does anyone have any recordings of the 95 tour with neil young? i was at the gig in reading, and ive always wanted to hear the set again. they did an amazing version of mr soul the night, loved it. failing that, a set from elsewhere on the tour or maybe a link to something on youtube would be cool.

  • i did some digging and found this:

08/27/95 - Reading Festival: Reading, Great Britain

Setlist: Big Green Country, Song X, Act Of Love, Downtown, Mr. Soul, Scenery, The Needle And The Damage Done, Hey Hey My My, After The Goldrush, Throw Your Hatred Down, Cortez The Killer, Rockin' In The Free World

Notes: Neil is backed up by Mike and Stone on guitars, Jeff on bass and Jack Irons on drums, along with Brendan O´Brien on keyboards. Mike and Jeff bounce around, Stone (sporting glasses) plays with his back to the crowd for most of the time. The majority of the set is Drawn from the Mirror Ball album. In the middle of the set Neil plays a few songs solo, The Needle and the Damage Done, Hey Hey My My. He is rejoined by the boys and they play Throw Your Hatred Down. Cortez the Killer follows a 20 minute jam seeing Neil and Mike duelling furiously to a manic climax. They all return and blitz into Rockin In The Free World ending with Mike setting his guitar alight in one of the flame torches on the stage and then trashing his amps. Neil just bashes his guitar to oblivion - as string after string is toutured to breaking point. Other acts included: Soundgarden, L7, Foo Fighters, Mudhoney, Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins, Pavement, Pennywise.

got that from a pj history site..

they also played sweden, denmark, isreal, switzerland, dublin, czech republic, germany, belgium and austria....anyone?
