If you guys haven't heard them yet, well worth a listen, from Liverpool, UK and originally in the dim dark past were a doom metal band but have realised the error of their ways and are now just fantastic. Their 'Black' song is just unreal, great lyrics, soulful passion in the vocals and the guitar solo is just crazy

If you like this you will love their last 2 or 3 albums and the recent Live album is something special

Anathema is just awesome, I've seen them live twice over here, and they are one of those bands that look so happy onstage...
My favourite album is still "A Natural Disaster", but the last 3 albums are extremely good...

Of their older stuff, i really enjoy "Alternative 4"... way more dark than what they currently play, but still very emotional and beautiful music.

OP, have you heard "Falling Deeper", the recent album where they rearrenged some of their first doom metal songs with their current style? Beautiful and haunting album... i really recommend it.

Yes i am bit by bit buying their back catalogue on vinyl and Falling Deeper is next on my list i saw them a couple of weeks ago here in Portugal and they were so good and yes they always look happy,
